razer nari ultimate pairs and immediately disconnects

first forum post so bear with me here lol
i just bought razer nari ultimate headphones, they are used (returned immediately after purchase), came with the dongle, charging cord and aux which are all operational. i followed the steps on the website and paired my headphones, everything updated and they showed up in the synapse for about two seconds before disconnecting. here are some other details:
- headphones do not make any noise when i try to play music, the only sound comes from them pairing
- have switched through all audio options including thx spatial, no sound
- tried the dongle repair tool, it worked fine and then same issue happened
- all drivers and audio devices show up in device manager
- headphones will not show up in synapse unless i run the pairing tool and they only stay connected for a split second
not sure what to do next, very frustrated and tired. i haven't seen any forum posts yet on this topic but if there are please redirect me

Looks like a defective dongle. PM me the serial number so I can validate its model and start a case for a replacement dongle request. Thanks!
