Razer Opus, left static noise. Any fix?

I recently received a pair of Razer Opus (2020).

To my surprise there is a constant static white noise on the left headphone. Much like a "wind" sound.
This same issue is mentioned in a number of threads:

It is a known issue that ruins what would otherwise be great headphones.
My question is simple: is there anything that can be done or am I to refund?

Is there any way to downgrade the firmware of the headphones to see if this issue was introduced later on?
I suspect the issue wasn't there from the start, otherwise it would have been mentioned in reviews.

There's no reported/known issue for the Razer Opus (RZ04-02490). When did the behavior start? Does it happen to all audio-related and video conferencing apps? Does it happen while the headset is on wired and wireless mode? If it persists, and the device is within its warranty period, you can request a warranty claim. Please submit a case to our Support Team if you purchased the unit from our Razer Store or an authorized reseller. Otherwise, send me a PM so I can check if your merchant is part of our authorized resellers.
I have linked a number of threads that mention the same issue and I bet I could find more.
It is a known issue.

The behaviour started ever since I received it. I turn NC on and after some seconds the ‘wind’ noise on the left earcup kicks in.
It always happens as it has nothing to do with the source itself. It’s the noise cancelling feature and it's always there, wether I use them bluetooth or wired.

In some threads some users mention that this started happening after a firmware update and that it carried over different replacement units. I strongly believe this is firmware and not hardware related.
It's the noise cancelling feature and if the issue was there from the start the reviews would have mentioned it.

I bought from an authorized seller but I won't try my luck by getting a replacement unit that, based on what you find online, will likely share the same issue.

If it is possible to downgrade the firmware of the headphones I will try. Otherwise I will refund.
Is it possible to downgrade the firmware?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. Razer will recognize a fault and let the users know. However, there's no alert on this particular model yet. By the way, the device version can't be reverted once it is updated. However, releasing a newer update is feasible. Anyhow, allow me to raise this to our Support Team and devs so the team can look at this issue closely by sending me a PM, or you can submit a case number through this link: https://mysupport.razer.com/app/email_us. If you have already created one, please send it privately so I can help speed up its progress.
Identical issue here. Already opened support request describing problem under same email as this forum account. NC static is driving me absolutely livid. Great pair of headphones but this static noise bug absolutely ruins otherwise great experience.

Its definitely software related. Turning NC off and back on removes the static right away for a few minutes until it returns again. static appears only with NC. Other modes are fine.

Please speed up resolution of this bug. Its horrible.

Thank you.
Best regards

Edit: read the links posted by op and saw those threads are from a year ago! How come "there is no alert for this model"? Multiple threads above clearly state users have reached out to razer support over the same issue and have not had issue resolved.

Please open the alert or whatever you do with dev team. I can happily assist with debugging if you require it. Noise is so strongly expressed a phone microphone picks it up with ease.

I bought mine from Amazon warehouse a week ago and now strongly consider returning them back right away. When issues have been brought to your attention a year ago and remain unsolved it gives me little hope it's going to be resolved any time soon, if ever.

Very similiar experience. Received one a week ago after seeing on Rtings that the measurements of noise cancelling and audio quality should be good.
The static noise I experience isn't as strong as the one you describe. Mine is much like "wind" like it's described in this thread. Only affects the left earcup and kicks in around 5-10 seconds after I turn on NC.
(*Omitted)

As the products is discontinued I don't hold my hopes up for a fix. But I do hope we'll get the possibility to downgrade our firmware!
