    Razer Paint
An application to paint and animate Razer Chroma keyboards, built on electron.

    Hi All

Over the last few weeks I've been working on a new, electron based, windows application which lets you paint a design onto your keyboard and create your own animation frame by frame, while updating the LEDs as you draw.

It should work well on any Chroma keyboard (this includes laptop keyboards e.g. on the razer blade) assuming you have the most recent version of Razer Synapse.

It's brand new, so any feedback is welcome, and be sure to let me know if you find any bugs! The code is also completely open source, which you can find here: https://github.com/nick-michael/razer-paint

You can download the installer from here.
It comes with a few animations, but I'm excited to see what everyone can create!

    EDIT:
Thank you for all the positive feedback!
I've just released v1.1.0 which adds the following:
    - paint using the keyboard (new toggle button in the toolbar - try it out!)
    - keyboard shortcuts
    1. ctrl+z [undo]
    2. ctrl+shift+z [redo]
    3. ctrl+c [copy frame]
    4. ctrl+v [paste frame]
    5. spacebar [play/pause]
    6. left arrow [previous frame]
    7. right arrow [next frame]
    - New windows style topbar buttons

You can download it from here

    This looks amazing!
I'm gonna test it on my BW X TE Chroma soon.

Awesome! :D You may want to consider implementing the .bca-file format for chroma animations :)
That way the created animations can be used across multiple apps and libraries(also keeping the file size very small).
If you are interested, WolfspiritM and I would be more than happy to help you implementing it :)

Working like a charm on a BW X TE.
Even though it doesn't have a number pad, which makes the last 4 columns (right side) have no effect.

I love this little app so much!

I've heard about .bca (as I think you may already know :wink_:) and it's something I'll definitely look into - cross application animations can only be a good thing!

Thanks! So glad it's actually working :big_grin_:

Well I actually didn't know that you have already heard about it :D
Sounds great though! Seeing all software working hand in hand would be amazing :)

@Vaypron @njbmartin Is there a website anywhere that people can search and download .bca animations? Would be cool to have a centralised shared animation thing!

OMG! Thank you so much!!! I've being wanting something like this since I won my Blackwidow Chroma over a year ago because creating pretty designs in the configurator isn't very convenient on the terms of time consumption.

Not yet, but that's definitely something to think about, when more and more apps/libraries support bca :)
