Razer peripherals disconnecting randomly since I upgraded to a GeForce RTX 3080

My Razer devices are disconnecting and reconnecting shortly after. This seems to happen preferably on USB 2 ports and USB (3) hubs. I don't have enough USB 3 ports directly on the motherboard for all the devices, tho.

I didn't have the issue before the RTX 3080. I tested two different 3080's (Zotac Trinity and Founders Edition) and the problem is the same. With my GTX 980 I had no problems at all.

I already did a clean windows install and disabled all the USB power saving settings, this didn't help.

Hello, I have the same issue since yesterday with my Razer Viper. I tried all differents ports ( including 3.0 - 3.1 ), reinstalled mouse drivers, nothing solve the problem... I already was using a 3.0 USB Port before the problem starts... But I didnt change the GPU, I didnt change anything on my computer...

Maybe is something associated with synapse or firmware ? because I already tried to use the Viper on other computers ( when he was "dead" ) and the device can't even be detected by computer.

I even tried to disable all razer process ( like synapse/central/Service/GameCentral Process ), the problem seems to be reduced a bit, i need more time to check.
For me the problem vanishes when going back to the GTX 980.
I found out that my LG monitor RGB-software causes the problem, because when I close either Synapse or the LG software, the USB-ports are working fine again.
Started happening to me today as well with no changes to my system. I notice when I close Synapse 3, the problem seems to disappear but the keyboard and mouse are on default spectrum lighting.
I closed every application associated with the mouse, but after 10-12 hours, the problem randomly appeared again... disconnecting randomly with differents duration times ( sometimes seconds, sometimes minutes, sometimes hours... )

Certainly is a problem relationed with razer synapse 3 or smth. The problem is razer seems dont know that and didnt fix it, yet.

you are correct about the problem being with razer's software. i had the same problem and my fix was to completely remove the synapse, cortex, and central software from your pc. this should fix the disconnecting problem permanently as long as the software is not redownloaded. this does have the downside of not being able to use macros, change the colors to anything except the default breathing, and to change the dpi on a razer mouse. all other default operations like multimedia keys on a keyboard still work fine. hope this helps
