Razer Phone 2 - Not getting Group Messaging

Not sure what it can be, but when I have my wife and three kids in a group text, they get my texts fine, but I'm not getting the texts they send in the group. On a direct 1 to 1 texting, I receive from them just fine. All of them are on Android phones. I've gone through to make sure all my settings are proper, Mobile Data is on and I access the internet fine, WiFi works fine, calling works fine. This happens whether I have WiFi on or off. No other issues with the phone at all. I've tried a full reset, no luck. Please help.

Thanks,
Terry

=Update= Seems I found a fix. I uninstalled the last update to the stock Messenger app and now my group messages are coming in. I've changed the settings to not automatically update the app until I know there's a fix. BTW, I haven't upgraded to pie 9 yet.

Google pushed a Carrier Services update this afternoon, I re-applied the messenger update and it's back to working for me!
Carrier is AT&T and I am upgraded to Pie OS.

Thanks Trident! I'm working too with the update 🙂 Love this phone

I also reverted to the 3.9 version of Messages on my Satin RP2 and noticed improvement on my high message drop rate.

Saw the Google push for "carrier" services too. They're vague about what bugs it addresses. Does anyone know for sure there's a fix for this issue in there?

Has it been long enough to definitely confirm any perceived fix for RP2 on latest Play services, Enhanced LTE and latest Google Messages is more than placebo effect?

For me the failure mode was the same as the OP; text from certain numbers would not be received 100% of the time if they were part of group text. Direct text 1 to 1 never failed. Since the CS update and messenger update I am at 100% received now.
I don't think the CS update was released for this problem. I think it just missed us a few weeks back.

I had a return of missed text messages again this after the CS(Carrier Services) updates July 10 & 11. Ended up uninstalling the updates and disabling the CS app. We'll see how this works but missing text messages when they are shown in the carrier's text log is unacceptable for a device today.
I want the Razer phone 2

I had 2.0 running fine, then I updated my driver and synapse couldn't find them. So I uninstalled synapse, and now i can't reinstall synapse. I click on the installer and give it permission then nothing happens. So I tried to install 3, because i need my macros. I then get an error code 461814 and it doesn't progress. I've tried uninstalling every file, and still i can't install either. I need help.

Update, I got my old hard drive and moved over all the old razer synapse files back into place. It asked me to log in, then it disappeared. There is nothing in my task manager either.

Tried to install synapse 3 again, I got the same different error code.
"Error 1532494580S1lVvCUwRazerSynapseDependenciesSetup_v3.3.0725.072507.exe
Installation failed with error code 528040"

2 weeks with CS disabled all text line up with carrier's text log; looks to be definitely CS app issues.
Are you using a carrier-branded model? Or an unlocked model?

My mom and I were having issues with MMS (she got a Razer Phone 2 after seeing how much I liked mine) for a bit. Both unlocked, and using T-Mobile.

It turned out the issue was the APN (Access Point Name) settings weren't correct. Once we put in the correct settings from T-Mobile, we no longer had any issues.

If you're also on T-Mobile and were having this issue, here's the link to their APN settings:

Or if you've got it running on AT&T:

Yea it's unlocked. APN was setup out of the box for AT&T and rechecked with AT&T support a few times during TS'ing the issue. Problems didn't start for me until CS and messenger updates in May. Since then its been working not working based purely on CS updates from Google. CS being disabled seems to be the best route if I want to receive 100% of my texts. Also coincidence or not I sent feedback based on a failure mode and there was an updated CS the next day that resolved the issue until the next update.
