Fwiw, I got my 3rd replacement phone from Razer. Yep THIRD Razer phone. All previous sets had the color shifts/filtered camera issue within 10 to 20 shots even with the latest jan OTA update. Now, surprisingly the current set doesn't have the issue after a few hundred shots. Always thought it's the stock camera app issue rather than the hardware. So, it might be a hardware issue after all.

  3. Please add in a future update:
    - save pictures and videos to SD card (external storage)
    - 1080p 60fps video recording

Otherwise I am a happy customer!

That's supposed to be the next update (what I highlighted in bold), but we're still waiting for it this Q1.

Please correct the issues with the people hearing themselves echo when I try to talk to them in speaker mode. As well as setting options not saving you can't force MSAA X4 cause it never saves the settings happens with other settings too this is definetely rom/kernel releated please fix it.

I'm not familiar with the hardware the camera has but how much improvement can you get just with software updates?

This has absolutely nothing to do with the camera.. If you want a response, try the right thread first...

As to the person above me.. Software in this case is everything... As evidence by the gcam mod making a great difference.. From what I remember the camera hardware is as good as some Samsung phones, but the software that interfaces and process the images are severely lacking. We 2ill see improvements with each camera update I'm sure.

Honestly I'm finding razer is slowing down greatly on the fixes lately and find it very sad. I'm really looking forward to seeing some rom development open up and THEY can fix what razer is failing on.

Can we expect more camera updates? The shutter is still so slow compared to using the GCam and the quality isn't great either.

still cannot opt to save to sd card. what a shame

when you first put the sd card in you can format it as internal storage - then all your photos will auto save there anyway

Thx. I already know this option. But I want to be able to use the card in other devices as well. Formatting it as internal prevents it from being use on other devices.

There are no options to tell the Razer Phone where to save data, such as apps, photos, movies, music, etc. It all saves to internal storage, period. Making the expandable sd card pointless. You have to MANUALLY move data to the SD card.

Another frustrating issue is that the phone doesn't read exFAT nor NTFS formatted cards. FAT32 ONLY. We are stuck with files no larger than 4gb. So when longer 4k videos are recorded that exceed 4gb, we cannot move them to the SD card to free up storage. Cannot store nice 4k movies in the card to play back either.

Nice phone, but wish I knew some of this before purchase. So frustrating to use.

Mate - you are spot on in a lot of what you say - while this phone is good in so many ways - it also lacks vital features which are standard on so many other phones - extremely frustrating for the techy like me - hopefully they will sort this all out in their next attempt...

personally i have never used a phone as fast and responsive as this and in my line of work this is so important. i love it and i am willing to sacrifice its downfalls for its pros.

I noticed this at first time and thought would be a Problems but after over 3 months using it If I recorded big 4K video I’ll free up my storage by moving it to my PC or laptop. I’ve dozens movies transferred from my pc it’s compressed file from my favorites DVD, is it really needed 4K resolution on 5,7 inch? It’s already good on 720p imo.

You are not recording the video to view on this screen, the whole point is to transfer family videos to your home media centre so they can be viewed on your tvs and other 4k devices… then you see the benefit of 4k…

I transfer it to my laptop first to do that, to play on my 4K Monitor. My internet speed anyway too slow to stream that directly.

if you are streaming in-house your internet speed is irrelevant - the speed of your LAN and access points then becomes key- we are now moving to IT issues - probably new thread lol

i have gigabit lan with three 5ghz access points placed round the house - but all my devices are connected with ethernet so get 1gbps speed from device to device - this is more than enough for 4k streaming from local server to local devices

So I am wondering has the camera stuff been addressed I have see everyone on youtube talking about with this update.
Myself and my wife are thinking about moving from iphone to this but we wanted to be sure the camera was good and figured it would for sure be good in the 2nd release not sure if or when that is going to happen. I figured by the end of 2018 we would have another release of this phone
