Wow this one get my attention, I'm still on 7.1.1 and use German O2 SIM card. Maybe it'll better to factory resetting it, and wait till you issue fixed. I'm still on old OS because I don't feel any disadvantages using old one...honestly I don't like also the name, Oreo, prefer marshmallow, sounds better.

A Chinese user gave up the warranty and reinstalled the 7.1.1 Android system and solved the problem. But I do not recommend you do it like this. I think Razer support is working hard and we should give them a little time.

They need to speed things up. I’m having to use some random phone just to stay in touch with people. If I wanted to do that,I wouldn’t have bought this phone in the first place

Have they replied to any of you guys? I keep getting a message that they’re still trying to replicate the problem and they will revert with a solution within 24 hours

Razer support emailed me this morning to inform me that my case was sent to the mobile department. They said that I would receive an upgrade within 2/3 days, but did not say what the upgrade was. It may be an upgrade of after-sales support. If they can really fix this problem within 2/3, why do they transfer my case?
From this point of view, Razer really should speed things up

Do you mean update? Reporting you about the progression of your case.
Something that difficult will take sometimes, I made RMA repair for laptop, from sending till back to my door again only took within a week, because it was simple thing, just too lazy doing that;)

I see, sorry. Yeah it should actually come with options to rolling back in case like this users can do it alone and Razer doesn’t have to look every day this thread and we are all happy. As i said on other thread, it’s not only phone os update I always look first time before os update even on windows that has rolling back option.

  14. Razer proposed to exchange my phone for a new ono. But there's no warranty that next update won't break it again :slightly_sad:

Also, it would take a month or two to get it back to me.

Why don't they try to fix it with software?

I believe they are but that turn around is mental.

Just unlock your bootloader and rollback to nougat and then relock your bootloader.

    Job done.

  16. Going back to MR3 didn't fix the no sim issue for me.
A lot of reflashing to mr1-mr3 nougat and back to Oreo fixed it for me.
But I'm already thinking to go back to nougat and stay there if I have enough time

Sounds like the same issue i had comimg back from the developer preview to Nougat, the SIM card stopped working and i just kept reflashing nougat until the SIM card showed again.

If you're on Oreo and the SIM is being detected you'll be fine.

only option is to get a replacement. what happens to guys in who bought it thru amazon to a country where they haven't launched officially? send it back to the country of purchase, 100$, get it back 100$ customs again. serves me right for thinking these guys can make a damn phone and not break it.
