That all sounds good then. Just to clarify, can you make phone calls and send SMS/MMS messages?

Yes. As long as you have connection it works just like any phone. Let's just put it this way. I have better reception now then I did when I ported out of Verizon to MetroPcs/TMobile for one month

OK everyone I can confirm that following @XZoom13 post I've successfully activated my Razer phone on Verizon network. Make sure you use the chat and tell the agent you need tier 2 assistance. It will take up to 2 business days for tier 2 to set you up and of course your going to be working of the LTE network. In all honesty I've not noticed any degrade in service but that's because I live in a metropolitan area with great LTE coverage. Good luck and thank XZoom13 for the post.

I am happy I was able to help at least one person get the best phone in the best network. Thank you @SkaiCloud for the recognition.

@SkaiCloud. How is the network holding up? I had a setback yesterday. My phone lost complete connection so I had to reach out to Verizon via chat again. I was told had a faulty sim and to go to my nearest Verizon store for a replacement. I did this and I noticed they had two types of sim cards. The first time around I was given the wrong sim. The correct sim that was given to me this time (as per Verizon) had NFC on the back of the card we punch the sim out from. The previous did not. Well since this change, I am back on track and I have not had any issues.

FYI for everyone else... If reception in your home is horrible like mine was. I purchased a Samsung 4G LTE extender on eBay for my home and now I have full reception. Before the extender, I only had 2 bars with my Galaxy 7 Edge.

@XZoom13 Nope mine is working flawlessly! I hope you got it all sorted out. I've yet to have any issue. Phone calls good, text message good, internet good too. Again I live in southern California so Verizon wireless LTE coverage is great.

Glad you are having good luck I talked to a "tier 2 tech" who said he was trying but basically said the Razer phone is incompatible. That was on live chat debating heading to the store instead

Try live chat again. I would end the chat with the ones that would tell me no and start a new one. Try the store if you would like. I didn't find my store helpful as they have less access to modify.

Will do after work I'll open it and right off the bat ask for tier 2 or higher

Hope it works out @NCboy94. Don't give up. There is a way. It's a matter of getting on with someone that knows what they are doing. Keep all your live chat conversations. Make sure you tell them at some point that the phone is confirmed to work utilizing LTE only.

    Understood and will do @XZoom13

@XZoom13 what cellular settings do you have once again saying its incompatible so either they are lazy or have no knowledge or something on my side

Have Wifi calling on. Turn on advanced 4g LTE. Preffered network is set to LTE\3G\2G preffered. Keep in mind I didn't touch these settings nor did they have me modify anything on my phone. What the chat rep is suppose to do is as follows:

Verizon: I am going to fill out a request for my Device Management Team so the phone can be added into our Database. In order to do so, I will need the Device ID (IMEI Number) and the sim card number (ICCID number from the device).

Keep trying. Took me like almost 7 chat rep to find the right one.

Here is the tier two number that was given to me by one of the chat reps. It didn't help me much. You can try that as well. (800) 922-0204

So you have two out of the three. Try using Verizon + messaging app. The rep should have told you that the msg app that came with the phone will not work.

  15. Hello guys, I just got this amazing phone also, and I too am Verizon user. I referenced this thread when talking to 4 different Verizon reps so far and 1 of them really tried to assist me. She was able to register my phone with Verizon and get The phone to recognize the sim, and I can even browse internet for a few moments before I lose all connection. Any attempts to make a phone call or send a text end in failure. Either of you guys remember the name of the rep who helped you? I am in socal also, really don't want to have to return this phone. It's so sexy.

@YellowRosevoicehead945 sorry for the late reply. Was at work. I had the same issue at first. You are almost there. It's definitely a config short in Verizon's end. What you need to find out is what type of sim you have in you phone. From what I saw, there are two types of Sims. On the card they punch the sim out from you need the one that has NFC labeled on the back of the card. I was having the same issue as you until they switched it out. The rep I chatted with called it a faulty sim. Below is the conversation I had with some of my info redacted. Phone started working flawlessly that night.

Verizon Thank you for contacting the Verizon Wireless Chat Team regarding your device. How can we help you today?

Verizon Hello and Good Afternoon. Welcome to technical support.
You I am in a Verizon store and they activated a new sim.
You Hey Adam. Please oh please help me.
You I have the Razer phone by Razer.
Verizon I will try my absolute best to help you out anyway I can today.
You It worked with you guys but as of last night it stopped.
Verizon Yikes, sorry to hear that your new phone isn't working on the network. I rely on my phone for everything these days. So, I understand the importance of getting your phone back up and running on the network today.
Verizon Can you tell me what issues you're having with the Razer phone?
You It connects to LTE then disconnects. At home I have a 4G LTE extender and it was working great. Now it connects and disconnects on its own. This is before I was told to get a new sim activated. Now it seems like it needs to be configured to work from your end.
Verizon Thank you for the information.
Verizon Would this be the phone that is made by the company that makes Gaming PC's?
    You Yes
Verizon Awesome, I have read a lot about their new phone.
    You I absolutely love it
Verizon I will definitely try my best and see if I can get the phone activated on the network.
    Verizon Glad to hear it!
    You You probably in
Verizon In order for me to see if the phone can be accepted on the network I will need to get some information from you.
You Already know... It only works with LTE.
    Verizon Ok.
Verizon Were you trying to activate the phone on the number ending in xxxx
    You Yes
    Verizon Great!
Verizon I am going to fill out a request for my Device Management Team so the phone can be added into our Database. In order to do so, I will need the Device ID (IMEI Number) and the sim card number (ICCID number from the device)
You One moment... I'll get that for you.
    Verizon Sure thing!
    You IMEI: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Verizon Excellent!
You I don't see the ICCID on the phone. Is it on the card that the sim was punched out from.
Verizon Actually no need for the sim card #, I see it on my end.
    You Ok
Verizon I am filling out the request right now.
You Really appreciate it. Phone was working great till last night.
    Verizon I'm happy to help!
You Even better in my home with the 4G LTE extender.
Verizon Thanks for your patience with me today. I have completed the request on my end for you.
Verizon Typically the Device Management Team takes about 24 to 48 hours for them to get a response back to me. Once they do I can reach out to you by either text message or email and let you know what I have found out on my end.
You Oh, ok. So I may not have a phone for up to two days?
Verizon Correct, typically they respond back fairly quickly. So, I would say even by tomorrow I can get a response back to you.
You Ok. Please text and email me if you can. Last time I reached out, I never received anything
Verizon I am truly sorry to hear that. What would be the best email address for you?

Verizon Thanks I have that marked down per my follow up with you. lol no worries.
You Thank you so much Adam.
Verizon Aside, from filling out the request for the Razer phone was there anything else that I can assist with today?
    Verizon You're absolutely Welcome.
    You That was it.
    Verizon Wonderful!
Verizon Again my name is Adam. It's been a pleasure assisting you! I hope you have a great day, and thank you for chatting with Verizon Wireless! Please click the "X" or "End Chat" button to end this chat.

Hope this sets you in the right direction.

@YellowRosevoicehead945 , @NCboy94 yes guys keep trying eventually you get a chat who knows exactly what to do. I got lucky on my first try.

@XZoom13 bruh, I'm starting to get the issue you had, now my calls and text message stop working. I would have to switch my phone to LTE/CDMA to keep my data working anything else to kick me off the network. I just made an appointment to a Verizon store to get a SIM card that is compatible with Verizon like phone. I'm sure you have experience this so of I go and will update everyone the result.

Guys keep pushing Verizon wireless to support this sexy phone there is a way you have to be persistence. I'm sure if there's enough people with Razer phone Verizon wireless will be force to look into the issue at the corporate level. Good luck boys.

@SkaiCloud make sure it's the card with the NFC print on it. Since that switch, it runs perfect. I only lose connection in no LTE zones like the dungeon of a building I visit for work but picks right up when I get out. ( No other cellphone carrier works in this building)

Again. I've been working great since switching out the sim. Over a week now with consistent connection.

One of many techs did state o me that if enough people cll about this phone they would definitely push to make the changes.

    Good luck all!

Anytime! Mobile forensics is what I do. There is no such thing as can't unless you are backing over the device with a vehicle and still, there could be a chance. Lol
