Razer phone lock button is acting up.

For the FIRST razer phone released in 2017
Last couple of days my razer phone's lock button has been acting weird.
I haven't dropped it or hit it on anything. I just been using it like i normally do.

So when i click it in the centre it would sometimes double or even triple click the button (I had to disable the double tap for camera shortcut after this started) but apparently through looking at it when i click it at the very bottom of the button it works fine.

It still clicks when i press it

When i press it at the top theres a quiet click
When i press it in the middle there is a load click sound ( yknow like when you click a button )
When i press it on the bottom the click sound is almost silent.

Anyone have any ideas. I tried restarting it but that never solved the issue.

It all just seems very selectively working. Because sometimes it would work normally and sometimes it won't and at this point its driving me crazy I've had it just over a year

Try a hard reset then test the device again. Just simultaneously press and hold both the Power and the Volume Up button until the phone turns off. You can let go of the buttons once you see the Razer Logo.

I've done that. It'd solve the problem but then a couple of hours later it'd do it all over again. It feels like its getting progressively worse.

Hmm. How about testing your phone in Safe Mode? To do this, just restart the phone. While the phone is loading, press and hold the power button and the volume down button at the same time. Let go when the phone is completely on. Once the phone is totally on, you will see a "Safe Mode" indication at the lower left corner of the screen. Please test the device while this mode is activated and check if the issue would still persist. If it works, then there is a possibility that a third-party app is the one causing the issue. To exit from Safe Mode, just restart the phone again. Update me how it goes.

So shortly after this the problem seemed to disappear but its come back. I've tried running safe mode but the problem still persists. I have to press really hard at the bottom of the lock button for it to detect that i've pressed it.

Its odd because i haven't dropped the phone at all and I take great care of it.

Inspecting more the finger print scanner still works absolutely fine.
