So I'm guessing metro will be in it? Since metro and t-mobile are basically sponsored

My Razer phone finger print login is not working anymore. I can’t also see that option it under Settings-> security.
I tried factory reset but it’s not fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  9. I've recently started to notice a screen flickering issue on my Razer Phone and it doesn't seem like I'm the only one. It seems to have popped up after the most recent update.

So I've been messing around with the phone and it seems like the flickering may have to do with the variable refresh rate of the display. I turned on the on screen frame counter in the developer options then opened up an app like discord and the screen flickers everytime the frame counter refreshes. The frame counter seems to refresh every second or so when the phone is idle and I'm not touching it.

When I'm constantly scrolling through something there is no flickering because the refresh rate is at a steady 120 Hz but as soon as I stop and the refresh rate changes the flickering begins again and once again keeps going as the frame counter keeps refreshing.

Now another thing I noticed is if I scroll slowly through discord the flickering intensifies and I assume this is because the screen keeps changing the refresh rate at faster pace because the framerate keeps going up and down.

Hopefully this made some sense. I'm not sure if it's an issue that can be fixed through a software update or if that's just how the hardware is but hopefully it's an issue that can be resolved soon. The flickering is not super pronounced but I notice it enough to be very annoying.

...I am loving this phone, and the game visuals are super smooth. But what bugs me, when I open up Pinterest, Facebook Lite, and some less visual intensive app, I get the lame, error box saying the APP isnt responding...i just hit wait, and continues on again. Cleared Cache on all APPs causing this, but still not as fast as the games...

fast forward a month later, the mrs is still in love with her razer phone. so far, we've been lucky and hit no snags/ran into any issues

we went with an cheap-o clear case from amazon for $10, as we patiently await the release of more cases/more variety

Thanks for that :) didnt know about the close all tabs, but that should pop up instead of swiping the apps to the bottom. As for the backup I lost everything apps message the whole lot, but that's alright now. Still love the phone

Ok so I got my phone a few days ago, and upon setting it up and finally toying around with it here my first comments :
    - everything on its durability that has already been said, is true
    - I applied a dbrand skin and so far, i like this 'soft protection' that give also a better grip. Won't protect against falls however (i'm still wishing for bumpers only protection, maybe later)
    - A lot of people complain about the brightness of screen. So far, I feel it is just enough, i do not need a 100% lit screen. Morever it helps with battery usage
    - Yes, the battery is good, I've been playing around yesterday and could pass through the day without recharging. Impressive
    - The camera app feels good. I like the double click on power button to open the camera app.
    - Nova is a nice touch indeed
    - You can have the THX deep note 'sound effect' as a ringtone ! brought back so much memories in theaters ;)
    - it is way bigger than my SOny Z5. For sure I won't go bigger.
    - The vibrations are some times good and some times bad as some youtube reviewers have shown. Small vibrations are done nicely, longer or bigger ones feel like its broken.
    - Sound quality is very good.
    - i clearly hope to see a razer phone 2 with IP protection. it deserves it.
    - I like the bezel which allow landscape mode when holding with both hands playing.

Personal note : i don't like usb-c port, I would prefer lightning type. Because, as with my sony Z5 micro-usb, during a 2 year lifespan, plug-in and un-plugin multiples times a day make the little piece inside the port more fragile over time. So if it breaks, the phone has to be repair. you cannot just change the cable like a lightning type connection would allow.

    Regarding game or apps :
    - The 120Hz is something.
    - i now like playing games like "Ride Zero" just to listen to the music.

Personal note 2 : As i said in previous post, the speakers protection doesn't bring much value other than an aesthetic one. The little holes get filled quickly with dust or anything around. Plus, knowing that the speakers are not that long, something more grippy could have been put in place.
