Razer Raptor USB-C not working

Good day! A few days ago, I received my Razer Raptor. I was pretty excited about the USB-C connection, since I work on a 2017 Macbook pro. So, i plugged it in and... nothing. No screen, nothing. It charges, very slowly, but if you do anything on the laptop it'll drain faster than the Raptor charges it. My USB mouse works, but that's it. I can't access the monitors main menu, because it's greyed out.

I've seen the Raptor work, once. I connected it and had to downgrade the USB-C speed. But since the main menu in the monitor is no longer accessable, i can't change this setting anymore.

I figured it might be the Macbook, but that has worked flawlessly with any other USB-C monitor. Just to be sure, I tried a Windows laptop with the Raptor but that doesn't work either.

Any advise would be welcome 🙂

I've solved some of the issues;

Not charging seems to be normal. I read that the USB-C does nog charge sufficiently, so you have to connect a charger. Why this is, no idea. but I can live with this.

The monitor now works on USB-C, but it seems to require a certain order of connecting it; first you have to remove the USB-C cable. Then turn on the laptop. After that, turn on the monitor and then connect the USB-C cable. Then it works on my Windows laptop.

On the Macbook, this didn't work. After i connected a charger and tried the sequence of connecting it again, it worked. Weird, but at least it works.

Can anyone tell me if this is the same when connected to a desktop? Since i'm switching between laptops and my desktop quite often, i'd like to install a USB-C PCI card, but if i have to remove the cable every time i boot my desktop to get the monitor to work...
Wow, i'm overwhelmed by the help of this forum :slightly_sad: I ordered a PCI-E usb-c card and, it works just as crappy as the laptops. Perhaps even worse, as it didn't work at all. The mouse and keyboard i connected to the monitor both work, but no screen. I guess that concludes that USB-C simply works like crap on this monitor. Support is shite as well.

For the Macbook; it's just 'plug & pray'. Keep poking in the cable, untill it works. Utterly dissapointing and I will not buy Razer products again.
