    Hey guys!

So I bought this Rogue backpack back in October Which means approximately 5 months. Actually it was redeemed through the zSilver system. I was really amazed how great this backpack is, it really looked durable and stuff, except that it can be scratched quite easily because of its material, but I really tried my best to take care of it. I don't have a razerblade yet, or any laptop, cause I don't travel that much. This week, I noticed that the black material is starting to come off, which looks really bad since it's white underneath. It really pissed me off, because it's not a cheap backpack, and honestly I expected more than 5 months from this.

FYI: It was not overused, I only used it for school, and didn't do anything stupid with it besides putting it on my back and go to uni.

So basically my question is: Is this normal? Especially after 5 months of use? Or is it only because I didn't pay real money for it, only zsilvere? Do they make the zsilver rewards items lower quality?
I really have no idea why this happened but I'd like to get a response how this can be fixed, cause I have a feeling this is just the start of it, and it will totally come off.

Razer gears/zsilver items have any warranty?

Yes it can be scratched easily on rude wall but mine is not as bad as yours, it’s from sharp things I think and any material will have same damage. I’m using it also even for sports but only light scratches that noticeable because its dark color. For such usage wear I think it’s not covered by warranty. Go to clothing repair shop, let them fix that hole otherwise it’ll getting bigger, I did that with my old backpack, it’s noticeable when I look close but it avoids it for becoming worse.

You misunderstood, this part was NOT scratched at all. Do you see any scratches there? The material just started to come off. I didn't cut a hole in it man. Only the back of it is scratched, but almost unnoticable. I really took care of it.

I didn’t find appropriate word for that, anyway that broken area that made holes won’t come naturally. It happened for a reason, might be you didn’t realize that. The scratch on my backpack too, I think it was from rude wall. Did I tell you you made it your self? I didn’t mean that. The thing is you should stop it for becoming bigger “hole” by repair it your self. I think I’ve mine also taken care well but, for daily backpack it could be happened.

For the record zsilver redeemed items do have a warranty and the same quality as all other Razer products no exception. I don't like see people's Razer stuff being broken, but that's how it is it can't last forever, but the concern of taking care of them should be pretty big if you want to be durable. And as @Joikansai mention, those scratches can't appear by their own, you must have done something that provoked them. If you can demonstrate to the Razer support that you didn't cause the scratches by physical force, i think you can send it back to warranty but you'll have to pay shipping i guess.

Like I said, I did not do anything with it. I always did my best to take care of it, most of the time I didn't even put it on the floor if it wasn't necessary.

Anyways, how can they repair this without being clearly visible that it is repaired. It don't want to have a patch on it or anything like that. And this material is torn, I bet they can't sew anything like this.

I'm sure they don't make them lower quality.
They do, it's 1 year long, but under Razer's Warranty Policy, section number 7. (i) it's stated "This Limited Warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, minor cosmetic abnormalities (including minor pixel abnormalities) and normal wear and tear, including (without limitation), scratches, dents and chips.".
They probably won't exchange your bag for that kind of damage, but if it gets bigger I guess that they would exchange it.

Yea...It's quite ugly and I believe it will get bigger. I never wanted to exchange my bag because it's scratched. I know that it is natural, and I would not expect them to do give me a new one because of my own fault. But I am 100 percent sure, this wasn't done by me.

You can cover it up with black electrical tape. I dont have a Razer backpack cause I bought a Lenovo one just before they added them to the zSilver marketplace but even that Lenovo backpack has the same issue. It lasted around 3 months of very rough use so I dont bother Lenovo about it but I used electrical tape to just hold the material together.

I had a DataShell backpack that lasted over 3 years without this issue so its not something that you should be experiencing with good quality backpacks even though that backpack was only 50 dollars when I bought it. Warranty wont help you, have tried going to them for much less and they always blame me for damage even though this clearly doesnt look intentional.

Oh well, that sucks..thanks for believing me anyways. Well electrical tape really looks kind of a nasty and cheap solution to be honest (especially for a 110eur backpack), but if its getting bigger I guess I'll have no other choice..

It will get bigger, find some thin electrical tape. It doesnt look as bad as what it will look like if it remains like this. This is a very common issue with backpacks that use this material but sadly they dont honor warranty for it.
