  1. Hey! So all of this stuff about Steam Machines, and Alienware making their own and things, I think it would be really cool if Razer could make a steam machine at a REASONABLE price that could compete with other steam machines, and could also compete with consoles. So if you create a mini gaming pc, around the size of a console, the specs of a console (obviously slightly higher) and the price of a console, it would bring a lot of peasants over to the PC Master Race and would highly compete with console manufacturers. Would really like to see Razer do something like this!

Yes Yes Yes YES! That thing looks so freaking sweet :D You just know Min-Liang Tan has that on his desk.

  4. Christine looks sexy, but we want more console peasants to join the glorious pc master race

I would assume (and hope) that if Razer did make a Steam Machine it wouldn't be one of the cheaper end machines.

Regardless, cheap or not I don't see it happening soon due to the deal they have with Microsoft at the moment. I would think that making a Steam machine could be a breach of that contract, depending on the terms.

I would also like to see one happen eventually, but for right now I'm using my Edge as a Steam Machine of sorts.

I don't know about Steam machines...
I'm a console and PC gamer and I could just easily hookup my rig to the TV in the living room and play with a wireless Keyboard/mouse/controller.

I don't really see the point in Steam machines when PC works just fine. If we're talking about the difficulty of putting together your own PC well there's ready made setups out there that one can buy without a hassle.

Steam machines are just to compete against console market because they aim the living room. For me, and a lot of people here, it's useless as we have our PC.

I don't really see Razer making a "reasonable" price machine any time soon. That isn't their market.

If only Razer could make a nice looking chassis. With some logo's and lights. Then we could buy that and fill it with personally desired hardware.

Would instantly buy a Razer SteamMachine case.

Why not get the Razer NZXT case? NZXT has a pretty good track record.

Project christine is more a gaming pc, not a Steam machine ;d (I think)

It does indeed. Only when i picture a SteamMachine in front of me, it is a small form factor. Something what fits next to the TV and or maybe in a cabinet. Not a full flown tower :)

A steam machine beta tester made a video about it and he said there`s nothing special about it. True i haven`t seen it anyway, but i don`t get the hype about these machines. I would never chose a steam machine over my battle station. *hugs PC* Just no point in doing so.

  15. Yes we all have our own gaming machines, but gaming machines aren't really designed to be used on a tv for console-like gaming, they're mainly designed to be at a desk with a monitor. Steam Machines on the other hand are meant to be small so they can fit on your tv table and act like a console, but with a lot more performance and that can play PC games. I think a Razer steam machine would be a cool thing to do. You could have a normal gaming pc in one place, and a steam machine under your tv in a different room for a simple scenario

    I agree with this person...

ALTHOUGH, even though their stuff is over priced, they make a damn-good piece of tech and Razer making a Steam Box (or more affordable laptop or Project Christine) would be epic!

  17. Razer can't make the project christine anytime soon. See they need to collab with nzxt to make a tower case. Don't get me wrong. They have the means, I believe it's not their priorty at the moment.

Maybe Razer can make SFF case only instead of full console-sized machine. Like Corsair, It can be a huge advantage for gamers who wants to use razer's brand and logo into their gaming rig.
