Razer Suite conflicting with itself?

Hello, Guys!

I've been using my Blade for a little over a year now without issues, however, since Razer introduced the new software things have gotten a little crazy for me. I'm not sure I GET which piece of software is SUPPOSED to do what, and it seems as though they conflict with one another. My problems are quite ephemeral, but I've put together a list to the best of my abilities:

1. What is RAZER SYNAPSE vs what is RAZER CONFIGURATOR?

Above is a screen grab featuring my entire Razer suite.
To my best understanding SYNAPSE is visible on the right, and, in the foreground one can see the RAZER CONFIGURATOR software.

Razer Configurator seems to be the only place I can interact with my built-in Chroma keyboard, set the effects, change the backlight brightness and whatnot.

However, when I hover my mouse over the RAZER Configurator icon in my system tray this happens:

What gives?

2. RAZER ATHERIS MOUSE conflict. AKA Synapse listed as inactive even when both instances of the software (or should I say both Synapse and Configurator?) are running.

I mapped additoinal functionalities to the extra mouse buttons back on the previous version of the software, however, since the latest update this issue came up:

When you hover your mouse cursor over the apparently non-functioning key binding this comes up:

The best thing is that Synapse seems to be running, alongside the configurator:

And the best thing is... all the mappings highlighted in red and flagged as requiring Synapse to run work perfectly fine, everything works. It's just listed as not functioning properly. Or, it's a rather strange UI design which seems to suggest a broken link, but maybe that's only me.

3. Chroma functionalities:

I can't get the chroma game-related effects to work with any of my compatible games, but I'm guessing I shoved enough issues into a single thread and maybe the answers to the issues above can point me in the right direction.

Thanks!
