Razer Surround

    Oh wow! And here i was tripping, thinking it was my pc again. Reinstalled synapse, searched online for troubleshooting. And after an hour i found this topic!

    Just Got This Update in my notifications.

    RazerID Scheduled Server Maintenance
    RazerID will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on January 14th, 2019 08:00 PM PDT to January 15th 01:00 AM PDT to improve our services.

    All Razer software and services that require RazerID will be affected during this period.

    This maintenance is scheduled to address the intermittent disruptions brought about by the fix for the Meltdown and Spectre vulnerability.

    We apologize in advance for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and support.

    Uninstalled KB4056892 too.... :slightly_sad: since there's no fix or update for Razor Surround yet... hope it get fixed so we can be updated and fully working at the same time!

    This is slightly off topic, but it doesn't have a usb connector because it IS premium. an audio jack can still produce a much higher sound quality than usb. Also, normally windows would recognize it with their completely standalone software that is free with any razer synapse compatible product. Obviously it won't right now because it is down, but it should be back up by Monday. None of that searching would be necessary. Sorry for the inconvenience and enjoy the new headset!

    A temporary solution is to install Dolby atmos from windows app store. Gives a 30 days trial and a nice 7.1 surround experience. For some ppl is even better from razers one.

    OK yes, GREAT!! I just lost all my afternoon to reaper this, but I couldn't..
    Uninstall only razer driver, uninstalling original driver, reinstalling from "official web sit" each step to see if it would be solved..

    restart W10 ~20times to every steps (I almost reinstall W10..)

    SO no it still doesn't work.. 13/01/2018

    I posted an update and it is also in red up top looks like they are going to try and fix it tonight stuff will be down for a few hours and hopefully itt will all be fixed when it goes back up.

    Hi All,

    We are currently testing the fix for this issue, which will be rolled out within the next 48 hours.

    Obviously, we did not have any prior information about the inner workings of the Microsoft patch (or that it would break something in Surround). So, we only came to know about the issue AFTER the patch was rolled out to everyone. Our engineers have been investigating all potential issues and fixes since the day, and we think we have covered all bases in the upcoming hotfix for Surround.

    So will there be an update we will need to do or download in order to get it fixed. I thought what you where doing to the server tonight would be the fix?? Thanks

    The server updates are for the servers themselves (they run on Windows too). That is unrelated to the Surround issues on user's individual machines.

    Surround issues will be fixed via a Synapse/Surround update, that you will need to allow Synapse to install.

    It's the waiting that gets me. I know, I know, I totally understand the need to fix servers, us (thx MS btw) and so on... It's just... I miss you Razer Surround Pro!! I need you in my life baby! *sniffle*

    I never knew how much I enjoyed my surround Pro, until I lost it and had to go back to the norm of things... hehe

    is it supposed to be working now again. I have the surround back in synapse but still not working??

    It's not showing up in my synapse still think it needs to be fixed still, meaning they are still working on it.
