Razer Synapse 2 Equalizer not working

The Equalizer of Razer Synapse 2 has stopped responding after I updated my OS(Win 10) today. I update it whenever there's an update available, it's like I do it rarely or anything. But this time it sort of broke the Razer Synapse 2 Equalizer. I tried every solutions I could find on the web, unplugging and replugging. Uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them. Clean reinstall of Razer Synapse 2. Deleting my current account and making a new one. But nothing seems to fix the problem. Please help me :slightly_sad:

You might want to wait for the coming cumulative Windows update. Update KB4515384 by Windows from last week caused some audio issues for many users. Windows acknowledged that this update can cause audio issues for some users. You can google it for more info. Windows will reverse the changes that that give audio issues in an update at the end of this month.

Thanks for replying, dude. I spent hours trying to figure out what the issue was and when I finally understood what changed. I didn't know how to fix it. Apparently, Windows Sonic for Headphones was turned on by default after the update, and for some reason, it wouldn't allow the Razer Synapse 2 Equalizer to work when it was on. Once, you turn it off, the Equalizer works again but the only other issue is without the Windows Sonic for Headphones turned on, the sound is so faint. So, right now I'm using Dolby Atmos without Razer Synapse 2, it seems to able to produce a decent sound output with just the Dolby Atmos, but I'd rather not have to pay 15 USD/months just for sound. Hopefully, they fix this issue with the Update you mentioned.
Yeah no problem.

I was also struggling for many hours.. reinstalling Razer Synapse multiple times, drivers, changing settings.... untill I figured out it was the Windows update from last week. It was just coincidence that I updated Razer Synapse at the same time, so I thought this caused my issues. The issues I have are faint sounds in videogames only.. all other applications have normal loudness.

Just wait for the next Windows update and hope it gets fixed (probably will).

Such a blunder of Microsoft. I bet that most people are not even aware of this and are trying to change
unnecessary settings... breaking things even more. Or those who bought new sound systems or headsets and send it back to the shop because they are not satisfied with the audio :confused_:.
I knew the Windows Update did something that was causing issues with Razer Synapse 2 but I didn't think it was with Audio in general, and I also thought I was the only one having issues with it. Because I tried to google it right after the updates and couldn't find anyone talking about it online. Until I posted on this forums and you mentioned the Windows Updates bugs with the update number, I was able to find some articles about it.

And yeah like you said, a lot of people don't even know about this and are probably messing with unnecessary stuff trying to fix it. I'm glad I didn't use my Dolby Atmos until now because it's certainly helping with the sound issue.
I just installed update KB4517211 and it fixed my sound issues.
Yup, I just updated my OS. The sound is louder without me having to use Windows Sonic for Headphones or Dolby Atmos for Headphones. I can go back to using the Razer Synapse 2 Equalizer.🎶 Thanks for the help, dude. 😃👍
