So razer synapse 3.0 is out now but I am having issues with it my blackwidow x, firefly and krakens aren't being detected and the only thing that is, is my Lancehead TE so is this a bug or a glitch

I guess that's the beta version that works only with lancehead, don't know for sure

can razer pls unify all the devices into synapse 3?

it's so confusing now and the chroma colours do not sync between 2 and 3 :frown_:

I think I'm going to wait for the official release. I don't like being the guinea pig during the beta release.

Synapse 3 supports selected devices at the moment like Razer Lancehead, Razer Lancehead TE, Chroma HDK

+ it should support Razer Firefly & BlackWidow V2.

@Fisz, you can't customize your devices because will not show up or detected on Synapse 3.

that is a good question :) They have not added any new chroma device in a long time, and they have not added any og the popular chroma devices.. its still in beta, and people expect they will added more devices at somepoint, but in my eyes its taking WAY too long, when they make it look and sound like it support chroma devices, but in reality is still dos not really support the most used items..

I totally feel your pain, I do, trust me. But, it is Beta software still and Razer has been honest about which devices are supported (basically only new release stuff). I want support for my other stuff too...I demand it. Let's try and be patient, they say "soon". Much better than "soon", which is completely vague and does not inspire trust, would be transparency in plans and timelines. Even something like "support for non-chroma peripherals will come Q2 2018, support for choma peripherals will come Q1 2018, support for remaining Razer products will come Q3 2018" would be honest and highly appreciated and still give lots of wiggle room for the unanticipated delays and challenges that are part of software development. But to just keep saying "soon"...well, that is what I expect from a used car salesman, not an awesome company like Razer that is about to have a $5B public IPO in Hong Kong...

its just lame that they advertise it with pictures showing the firefly and the blackwidow, and then relase it with support for only the completly new gear ...

I agree, it's VERY lame. When I bought the Lancehead, one of the features that I thought was SO cool and clever was the HyperShift key, which allows you to assign a button or key to "hypershift" which has an entire second set of button mapping customizations associated with it. But without the ability to map this hypershift function to a key on your keyboard, it's kind of worthless...
I like my LanceHead TE and Basilisk mice very much. The software that enables all of their functionality is a huge disappointment though...

im atually not that big of a fan of the lancehead te .. i have it .. i like the shape :D the feel the look but the sidegrips are so slippery .. and why the heck do they add texture that is in line with the movement of a finger sliding on the side ? that makes no sense .. the grip has to counter the movement .. instead of horzointal lines, vertical lines would have ben better .. and now my side grips have become loos and start to roll on the corners .. :/
i hope that razer support can send me new sidegrips and hopefully better ones with a better grip at all

Yeah I could not agree more.. and thats why i was so dissapointed when i got the hdk.. and at that point in time, you couldnt even see any which devices they did support..

But I most Im kind of even more disapointed in Razer for being so slow too add devices to synapse 3, and only adding the new devices.. and the complet lack of any kind of information other then saying soon..
I guess they soon and my soon is not the same.. I bought HDk 8/8 2017 and was told that they would added the rest of the chroma devices soon.. now.. 3/10 the only added the basilisk.. In my eyes thats just not okay. especially because they are still making it look like the firefly and blackwidow is supported. but they are not.
    false advertisment..!

so you have the hdk ? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: can you tell wich leds they use ? the controller ? ws2811 ws2812 ? im interested if some one is willing to test the hd with a normal adressable strip you can buy on amazon ( power from the powersupply of the pc directly and just connect the data and the one ground pin ) the nzxt hue uses normal adressable strips you can get at every online store :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yes I do :) not that it can really sync any of all my chroma devices, so i was pretty disappointed, to find out that they did only support lancehead, because they had not made that information public yet..
A small video i made of it.. not a good video I know..
but there you kan see the leds, contoller and how the connect, they are NOT like other led strips that i have seen before. I have the nzxt hue+ also, so where i really like the magnets in the leds.. but fair enogh..
But I really find these plastic piece where you connect the leds inconvenient.. they are so thick it kind of makes the fitting hard.. But I do like the glow the razer led has. But I must underline that, I really see no reason at all to buy the HDK until they at some point support the most used chroma devices.. and I like wise disappointed in the complete lack of information. they still sell HDK like it supports blackwidow, firefly and so on.. from the release, It took them 3 weeks to add supported devices.. So right now its a very expensive led controller which cant do any thing that all the cheaper controllers cant do.. if it sounds negative.. well cant really say there is any thing good about the HDK at the moment.. and still now almost 2 months later they only added the baslisik mouse..
still no informationer regarding adding more chroma devices or an release date for synapse 3..

I am a big razer fan.. I got three deathadders(2013, Chroma and Elite), a Mamba TE, Blackwidow chroma, Blackwidow stealth TE, Firefly, orbweaver chroma. So its not like I dont like Razer normally.
But this time im really disappointed big time in Razer.. almost to the point of disbelive.

the connector is not that relevant :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: relevant is if they are wired via the same data line lkike all the other ws28xx leds if they all share the same data line , it might be possible to mod aanother lightstrip to such a connector ( btw i think they just choose those connectors to make us think that we have to buy their strips )
