When I tried to open up razer synapse, it told me to allow system software from razer. When I clicked on it, it took me to my security & privacy in my system preferences. However, there was no option to allow system software from razer in my settings. Please help.

Is that when you were trying to install it for the first time?

If it's what I think it is, try opening it again.

You'll get the same message, and then you have to go to System Settings, then the "Security & Privacy" tab. Since you recently tried to open it, a little box will appear in the window (that isn't usually there). It will tell you that it denied access to Razer Synapse, but will give you the option to open it anyway. Choose that option, and you can continue with the installation. You'll have to put in your computer password to allow it.

Hey, @noahkim , were you able to find the new box?
I'm having the same problem!

What is in the window after you're directed to the Security tab?
I wasn't getting anything in the security window. It was blank where the button should be. But I reset the computer a couple of times and then it started working again. So, I'm not sure.

Hmm, the only thing I can think of is that sometimes there seems to be a lag between setting something on Synapse and it actually showing up on my Mac (changing profiles, dpi, or even the software seeing a Razer peripheral being plugged in). Maybe the box not showing up is just an instance of that communication lag.

@noahkim Did you get yours working? Did the window ever show up? Try what @smartSilverbus730 did, or even give it a bit of a wait before you click on the "Security & Privacy" tab when installing, to give Synapse a bit of time to communicate with the cloud, and then time to have the cloud communicate with your system settings.
