Is mecha-membrane really worth it over standard membrane?

I think you might mean the Razer Tartarus 😉.

The Tartarus uses the mecha-membrane switches, and the Orbweaver uses Razer mechanical switches, there are no keypads from Razer that use just normal membrane switches.

Keep in mind that mechanical switch is still a mechanical switch membranę key is a membranę it can be name difrent but this works pretty the same way. So yeah diffrence is huge but it deepends what you expect from device you want use to work or gaming and what kind of work or games.

Yeah, the mecha-membrane is definitely worth it over the regular membrane. However, mecha-membrane keys aren't as good as true mechanical keys. So the Orbweaver is a lot better than the Tartarus in my opinion.

However, keep in mind that the Orbweaver isn't compatible with Synapse 3 while the Tartarus is. I'm really hoping Razer releases the Orbweaver V2 soon.

I couldn't agree more!! I think this is one item that I'm really keeping an eye out for if it ever happens.

The Razer Tartarus which is a mecha membrane key pattern is a gem of its own. Love the clicks and the ease of use with it.
