Razer Tiamat 7.1 v2

Hello,
I recently bought the Razer Tiamat 7.1 v2 on a sale. I decided I will pick these up and use them as a stereo headphone for the meanwhile, while I build my pc with the proper sound card and whatnot. I am using them on my Acer Nitro 5, the model that has an i5, and a gtx 1650. I am not sure what my sound card is, but whenever I use them in stereo they sound very muffled and the bass is very muddy. As soon as I put them in 7.1 mode there is no bass and all I can hear is a very soft high end. It sounds terrible, so for the meantime I use the red plug, which is meant for centre and sub. I want to be able to use the green plug, which is meant for front left and front right, but they sound terrible. Is there some software I am not aware of, or can I purchase a sound processor and connect that to my laptop to get the full 7.1. Also is there a software or programme I need to enable 7.1 on my laptop. I need serious help, really like these headphones and especially love the control unit
