Damn that's bad. We're in the same boat buddy haha. Razer needs to sort this pile of crap asap.
Whats encouraging is that they have been working on solutions for it and as i informed you they told me that either by the next update it will be gone completely (the stick drift) or it will have been eliminated for the most part and then a next update will do the trick. Whats discouraging tho is that there's no time frame for all of that. If the next update comes in 2-3 months and the one after that takes as long, then whats the point? Lets say we stick with the controller till the end and its fixed around March-April-May, by then its price would have dropped by 40 to 60 euros (at least here since i bought it for 240 while in other countries its worth 200) and asides from losing money, cuz we could have bought it when it was fixed for that much less, also we are running down our warranty, these controllers usually showcase problems after a certain period of time and by the time ours maybe does that maybe its out of warranty cuz most of the time it was inside its box and we started using it way later. I talked with the shop again and they told me if the distributer RMA's it then they can buy it. So at least thats something.
Yeah, that's a good thing. I ordered it via the razer eu store. Because i wanted the controller so bad, and none of my local stores had it. That's why i decided to but it directly from razer if i only knew then... I really hope that razer gives priority upon fixing this controller.
But how do we find put if there's a new firmware anyways ? It's like the latest firmware 1.03 was not announced either. How will they let us know ?
And i also wonder if anyone has a working raiju ultimate controller without the problems we have.
If the product is faulty, and it's been less than two years since you purchased it, the warranty should cover a full refund from the store where you bought it. You mentioned paying in euros, so I can deduce that you bought the controller from a European store, which means you are protected by European consumer laws. The store basically has three options: Either repair the product within a reasonable time (usually 3 weeks for consumer electronics), offer a replacement (has to be an identical product, and can only be done 3 times), or give you a full refund (store credit or cash back, up to you not the store). As a customer, you are NOT required to contact the manufacturer yourself. This is the responsibility of the store where you bought it.
If the store refuses to live up to their responsibility, you can direct them to the site below:
Yeah the controller has some issues but playing Fortnite on ps4 is not as bad as before so maybe there is hope for coming fixes. The drift issue is still there which makes it hard to get a decent aim so you more got to rely on speed and shotguns where the drift isn´t that noticeble. Something at least got a bit better with the 1,03 update on ps4
IMO the update didnt fix anything concerning the stick drift, thats how i feel it, im still using my nacon and my original dual shock to play games. Ur a brave one to use the raiju!
I have to say i know all this cuz when i tried to replace my Nacon rev pro v2 they didnt accept to do it from the manufacturer but thankfully the store had no problem doing that for them anyways. But thank you for this information nonetheless.
i would like to know those things as well, i guess we do what we have been doing, keep hanging around, PM mods once in a while, try to find out by ourselves.
Yeah would love if they do a real fix because its so bad to die due to not being able to stand still for a good aim while your opponent hit a lot of devastating shots on you=) let us hope for a new update soon
If they dont then for me its propably gonna be this:
and i have put the video ready to start near the 7th minute, check what it sais:
If an analog stick dies then u can buy a new one for 20 dollars and just replace it. Thats a major plus for me. If Razer doesnt fix their controller till March when the C40 is released then im gonna read some reviews on it and if its good then bye bye Razer. Im gonna ask for my money back and buy the astro.
My raiju ultimate is being picked up today by feddex. It's getting rma-ed. Hopefully i'm getting a flawless replacement. Will keep you guys updated.
i RMA-ed mine as well, today it got to the distributer from the store, lets hope they send a brand new one as well but as i said before i dont think its gonna change anything.
Yeah but here's hoping. Maybe we get a new batch. Guy on reddit from Australia posted about his flawless unit. Maybe that's a unit from the new batch.
Lets hope so, i honestly hope thats the case but i dont trust things like that because what if he doesnt play FPS games? its not like he could ever tell
ok i read his post, when he said firmware 1.1 did he mean v1.01 or is there actually a new firmware out for the new controllers? i suppose not.
I think he needs to tell us the games he's playing and to give feedback also later on to see whether this remained.
I still can't get into the bootloader mode !!
Try loading the firmware on your computer then first, connecting the controller with a usb cable to the laptop while the firmware updated is open and trying it again on various modes, put it on BT for the pc, or the ps4 or USB, i think i managed to bootload mine while on BT.
Ok, I try it again. Thx
How do I know the controller is in bootloader mode?
Mine went dead and didnt respond to anything. The LED lights were on and when it went into bootloader mode they turned off.
Ok, Thank you.
And do you have the firmware 1.02 link?
