RBS 2019 Replacement Unit (Brand New or Refurbished?)

Hi guys,

I recently got a brand new replacement (so they said) for my RBS 2019 as the first one had a 'hot pixel' and I couldn't help but notice some things with the replacement:

  • the box was quite torn ( ok whatever I thought)
  • it had a sticker on it that clearly said 'Partcondition refurbished B'
  • the same sticker also clearly specified the unit prod. no. and s/n as being 'refurb'
  • inside the laptop seemed brand new
  • when I checked the specs the ssd was different from the original one (Liteon 256GB), this was a Samsung 256GB

Only had it for a day, haven't noticed anything else. After speaking with them they said it was indeed a brand new one and it must have been a mistake with the sticker put on it but the sticker clearly specifies the product number as being refurbished.

I'm quite happy with it, but can't help the feeling I got a refurbished unit and not a brand new unit.

Has anyone had any experiences like this so far, what do you think?

Thanks.

Hey! Do you mind sending me a PM with your case number? I can use that to confirm if this was a laptop repair or a replacement.
