So for the 4K version of the new Blade, the default refresh rate is 60hz. I'm curious if we can perhaps lower the resolution and get a 144hz refresh rate?

I don’t think so, if could, a 4K panel maybe can only overclocking to around 75Hz by lowering resolution but it was also on my 4K TN panel monitor, with a bad color depth in some colors, changed to 4K ips, never regret it. It’s trade off, you have to choose performance or quality atm, 1440p 144Hz is actually better on this screen size but gpu isn’t powerful enough for that on this thin light laptop categories.

Personally, I think a glossy 1440p with 90-120Hz refresh rate would have been the perfect compromise for having both a next generation resolution with a gaming grade refresh rate.

On a side note, I would much prefer to have a glossy display than a matte display because it looks more beautiful and without having any known problems with backlight bleed. I would buy one without the touch display if it means reducing the cost.
