Bear with me, so I have a blade 15 (2018) base model, and as we all know it has a smaller 65 Wh instead of 80Wh battery since it has to fit a 2.5 inch drive. I am planning to rid myself of the HDD in my system in favor of a 1TB M.2 SSD and I couldn't help but wonder, why not replace the battery for the bigger version while I'm at it? I googled it and some sites claim it can be done on different kinds of laptops (I found one dell laptop that also has 2 different sizes of battery in favor of a 2.5 inch drive), but I didn't find anyone whos done this with a blade.
So my question is did anyone try this? is it compatible? I found the 80Wh battery on eBay, the connector looks the same and the voltage is the same so it should work, right?

Unfortunately they have different cassis and internal, so i believe it won’t fit, the connector placement and form is apparently also different, beside unlike other brands like dell and Alienware model (that you mentioned) this two has different model number and support software pages.
And I was getting excited... oh well
