I'll try to sum this up as succinctly as I can:

A few days ago my wife started complaining her Chroma TE was not working properly. She could not log into Windows, as the number keys were all returning their corresponding symbols (1 = !, etc) and caps lock seemed to be stuck on. With a 2nd "generic" keyboard plugged in, it eventually resolved.

This morning I attempted to troubleshoot the issue, sticky keys not stuck on, no modifiers force the number row to start generating numbers. I thought maybe she'd spilled something in the keyboard and not told me. So, like any good hardware troubleshooter, I grabbed a KNOWN GOOD Razer Chroma TE.

You know, MINE. From MY computer.

And then I plugged it into her computer.

Wanna guess what happened next? Would it help if I put a nice big /FACEDESK right here??

Yep, you guessed it, now I have TWO keyboards that are stuck in what seems like caps lock mode, but nothing I do seems to pull them out of it. I moved my keyboard back to MY computer, and it's still outputting the same characters, so I'm ASSUMING some kind of weird corrupt profile. The only other thing I notice is that, when that keyboard is plugged in, my scroll wheel on my mouse quits working.

I've tried uninstalling drivers and uninstalling/clean reinstalling synapse, so I thought I'd throw my question out here until I can call Razer tomorrow. . in case someone just HAPPENS to have seen this before.

If nothing else, you get a nice friendly dose of Schadenfreude this morning ; )

Update: I have no idea how i did it, but i got "mine" working again. I tried duplicating what I did on the other board, but no success. I have NEVER seen this before. I have a black widow 2015 that works fine, several generic USB keyboards that work fine. . but plug this ONE board in and it's still wonky. . even as the other keyboards work fine AT THE SAME TIME [like, literally, two boards connected, one works one doesn't]

I have been buying razer products for years starting with naga then deathsttalker then sabertooth, kraken and then my blackwidow chroma. It's my first time encountering any hardware problems with them. Maybe I'm just unlucky.

I brought this keyboard July 28, 2015 then some keys don't work after a year then I got a replacement at July 27, 2016. The sad part is the replacement isn't covered by warranty right now and I still don't know what to do.
