I've been asking for this since day 0. Glad this discussion is just about Paid2Play, though, and Min-Liang Tan has said that he doesn't have second thoughts about the zVault in general.

Well you guys are getting advance notice I'm going to suspend Paid to Play. So we should be good. ;)

Yes. zGold and zSilver are all good as I do see most of the community using it are pretty happy with it. It's only Paid to Play that has been the problem at this time.

There's too much nois about it, don't suspend - SHUT IT and bury deep under the ground.

You wanted ppl to have Razer even if they can't afford, it's generous and TYVM, but as we can see most of participants of P2P dont DESERVE to own Razer.

zSilver is waaaaay too easy to get - now it's given for nothing literally, and this spoils ALOT.

Make zGold the zStore currency, give zSilver for spending zGold ONLY, exchange zSilver for discount vouchers NOT for items - true Razer fans will be happy twice.

Probably it means not much for You, but You got my respect for all that, and forewer.

    Keep it up Razer!

I think you are going to be warned/banned by having the courage. Goodluck to you!

So P2P will follow the steps of Razer Comms and Razer Arena? Another disappointment...hope not.

It seemed like the negative backlash was over the redemption price changes, not over P2P itself. Seems like P2P actually found a groove and has been going fairly seamlessly since.

Regardless, it would be an unfortunate shame to stop any of these programs over the ungrateful and unreasonably angry people. Fact is, you have a popular brand and company, and you have many customers communicating over the internet. As you know, that makes it all too easy for simple minded people to get insanely angry and say things they would never dare say to your face. But really, that seems to happen almost anywhere on the internet. Just look at almost any Youtube comment section. It's a sad fact that it's just how some people act about many things. We all have to learn to ignore them, and focus on what's worth our time and energy. As well, using moderation powers to block them when they cross the line.

This whole thing reminds me of how for many years now I have always seen people trolling or talking bad about Razer on the internet. I took them with a grain of salt, and I imagine you did as well, since you continued to make more products, and only expand and improve, rather than give up on products because somebody claimed they were no good.

While I understand you do not want the worst violators to get away with their actions and words, I'm not sure that shuttering a program, or basically punishing all of your user base will really help. The negative people may even be getting the opposite of punishment from seeing that they may be able to affect you and how you run your company. There has to be some way to block just the right ones out, like the human malware they are, without hurting everyone, including your own company.

The offenders made thoughtless, quick decisions to do what they did. So, I do not think a rash response may be best.
Overall, more consistent communication and transparency with details the community has been asking for, and that we need to be better better informed and prepared for how the program works and evolves, would be helpful all around.

I cannot stress enough how unfortunate it is that the worst words said seem to come from the loudest voices. They should not be the ones shaping, or even affecting, the way this community or your company proceed.

    Thanks for your time.

I think the only thing I could see to improve is where items are delivered from. For instance, I ordered from a United Kingdom shop but my items came from Hong Kong. No biggie as all tax is paid up front etc but sometimes FEDEX can do some dodgy practices like piling on charges on top of delivery in a letter further down the line.

By the way, if anyone should receive such a letter, you should refuse and tell them you did not enter into a contract with them and they usually write it off. Only thing you HAVE to pay is taxes where due.

Having that out of the way, this is one of the best reward systems I have ever seen. It's great because we get a goal to work towards so the reward at the end feels epic. :D Love you Razer! You're the good guys of the gaming industry and you just keep getting better and better, as do your products. (loving my new basilisk mouse, best fps mouse I have ever used)

Every item I have gotten direct from Razer, both items I bought and the ones I redeemed from zSilver, came from HK. So, it's not specific to these programs, and I don't think it's going to change any time soon. It must be advantageous to ship from close to where the items are manufactured.
That leaves buying from a local store instead, as the only way to completely avoid import taxes or fees.

Oddly, the worst importing experience I ever had was getting something from Canada. (Oh Ubisoft)

Well time to grind that extra 2k for a base station, sad to hear it's going down because of people crying about literal free things

I think I'm saddest to hear this probably means no more chroma mug chances for me D:

I'll figure it out. We'll have an official announcement but the focus will be to see if we can make it a better system first (failing which shut it down).

I totally agree with this, i very excited about this program when i first introduced by my friend, we are gamers, we play games everyday, this program really help those who cannot afford one like me.

So if shutting down the program right now, for those almost get their reward but still need few weeks or months to earn enough zsilver, will be very sad about it.

I was wish to redeem a keyboard that i always wanted, but its been removed, its quite sad actually. but i would like to vote continue this program for those truly gamers.

Nice to see your efforts in mainly focusing on a better system. However to say the least, if you ever end up shutting it down (which I hope won't happen) please at least inform us 1-2 months earlier (ideally) instead of completely removing the program all of a sudden as this wouldn't be the best option to do such (you know what happened to the zSilver updates). Thanks for making this community better and looking for more options to make most of us happy.

You have to remember that you tend to see more negative posts than positive because the happy peeps like myself are just getting on with playing and earning. :) It's sad to see it suspended but you do what you have to do and we'll be here when it's sorted! :D

It hurts that people are trying to explain, almost beg for keeping P2P program and keep looking for good solution while CEO is talking only about suspension and shutting down. Trust me @mltan I really don't want to be rude but the way things are going... It just looks bad for those who really wanted things to be good. There is so much negative energy on both sides :/

I really want somebody to listen people like @chickdan (and more, sorry I can't really go trough all posts right now and point out who is right and who is not in my opinion). A lot of smart things were written in his post.

@mltan P2P system itself is fine, the people are raged about the hike of price without any earlier notice, definitely there is no need for you to suspend or shut the programme down. Like you said, Razer listen to fans' voices, so why dont just refer to some of the suggestions given, and add into the next update then everything will be fine and everyone will be happy, no more negativity, no more threatening, no more complain....

@mltan I was disappointed at first that the item I was grinding for suddenly disappeared from zSilver rewards but I really can't complain because all I got to do is play games in order to get them. The only feedback I could give to make it better is, if stocks would allow it, to make the previous and present items available for gamers to grind for. For me it really doesn't matter if an item costs 300k zSilver (Tiamat 7.1 V2 for example) as long as everything's transparent and available. Some people have been grinding for months for, let's say Tiamat 7.1 V2, then suddenly it'll be unavailable for redemption. I can understand how frustrating that is.

Pretty much this entire thread is people saying they are really only upset because it was sudden without any prior warning and that they are overall happy with P2P. But the "For Gamers by Gamers" company just want's to shut the program down instead of, I don't know, sending out a heads up before making drastic changes with a slight explanation as to why (you know that thing called transparency which really really, and I mean really, helps with public relations).

It can be as simple as "Razer fans: we've shipped x number of keyboards through the program, that's too many and we need to raise zSilver prices. We hope you understand. Thanks." That took me 5 seconds to write, I don't see why it's so mind boggling. I guess we are all just raging free loaders and the program needs to go :frown_:

This is a great program, my only comment would be

"I was 10k away from an item, then came January where the games I played does not earn zsilver. I log back in today, zsilver requirements were tweaked.... I'm now 50k away from the same item. #Feelsbadman

I know the tweak has it's purpose but it kind of feels bad because of certain unique circumstances.

I think P2P is a great program. I mean we were playing games before this program, and now all we have to do is open razer cortex and click the play button. Is actually that simple, no extra affords and nothing! Besides the program itself is pretty usefull (boosting memory, helping to get higher fps for mid spec pc/laptops). I actually don mind the zsilver prices but the problem (for me) is shipping fees. I ( and many players outside of usa and some specific countries) can't benefit the program because of the damn high shipping fees (i know you can't do anything about it)and since the discount codes can only be used for online shopping (which means shipping fee) so we can only use zsilvers at steam games which (in my opinion)aren't worth to spend zsilver or time.
I'd like to add that i really like the p2p idea and love razer products.

I feel like the main reason the majority of the community is at unease is because of the drastic increase in zSilver prices for a lot of the products. It just makes it that much harder for us to get them especially for those who are time limited and play more casually. It's also that to my knowledge this price increase was not announced before it was done making a lot of people upset as they might of just been about to redeem an item from the zVault.
