  1. I just bought a BW X, and I'm extremely pleased with the new switches. I think I actually prefer them to MX blues. They are very consistent (at least on my board), and they feel a bit more tactile and crispier than MX blues (louder too though). In fact, in combination with the exposed metal plate, they give a typing experience that's a bit closer to these vintage keyboards from the 80's, which is what I always aim for when shopping for a new keyboard. I would even dare to say that when I bottom out, their sound (on this board at least) is a tiny, tiny bit reminiscent of that of the famous alps switches from the 80's. :)

  2. I just purchased the Black widow Ultimate 2016. Will be here on Wednesday so I'll let you know what I think but my Orbweaver is amazing! I got the BWU 16 for ARMA 3 the Orbweaver just doesn't have enough buttons and my deathstalker is dying a slow death

I absolutely love the Razer Green Switches on my Blackwidow Ultimate 2014. The only thing that annoy me is the additional left side marco keys which I don't use.

But otherwise, I enjoyed my experience with the Razer Green keys.

The new switches by razer is wonderful, feels much better than the old one, especially those mounted on the Razer BW Chroma X.

However, I have some problems with the LEDs though.

i am still loving my BW X Ultimate with the MX blue. however they said that Razer have changed the manufacturer of their switch for the past year. i still havent tried using the new razer green switch since mine is still 100% working fine. and i would like for it to stay that way. if they will only release a BWX chroma with MX blue i will definitely buy one of those right away no matter how much it is. i love the chroma effects in my computer since my set up is RGB (expect for the case since i am using H440 razer edition case). but regardless i would love to switch to BWX chroma if they have a MX blue variant. anyone here feel the same way as i do? :D

I'm surprised that Purple switches haven't been brought up yet for discussion. I know there is not a lot of detail about it yet, but maybe thoughts on the subject? Those who haven't read about it.

The ability to change out switches is phenomenal. Here I sit with 3 different keyboards (MSI Cherry MX, Razer Ornata chroma Membrane switch and Razer TE Chroma Orange switches), and in the future I can change out the switches and just keep one!

Sorry in advanced if I did miss a thread on it.

I like their new switches mainly because cherry mx blues you have to press harder which is 60 grams which i hate. But ever since razer made their greens I have been loving em

Copying the colours is not good. Because lots of people will then say they are copying cherry mx. They should do these but with different colours and tiny difference

I bought a New Black Widow Chroma V2 today - and after using Corsair with cherry MX switches I was pleasantly surprised by the consistency and feel of the new 2017 Razer green switches ( Greetech ).
I had an older 2014 BW Chroma and I was very disappointed with the quality of the switches - Very inconsistent - after a few months some of the switches stopped clicking and felt like browns instead of greens -
and the key wobble was horrendous.
The new 2017 switches are easily on a par with cherry MX blues and IMHO feel better .
the only gripe is that there is still quite a bit of key wobble -
After closer inspection I can testify that this is due to the stems not fitting tightly in the sleeves - the tolerance levels need to be jacked up - once the key wobble is eliminated I feel The Cherry MX will be dethroned -
Overall I'm very please with the new 2017 Switches - and the keyboard design IMHO is on another level to anything else out There .
I currently own a K70 Rapidfire RGB and a K70 Vengence from 2014 , I have also typed on a K95 Platinum with MX Browns and I've used a CM Storm with blues for a few months at work so I'm pretty familiar with cherry MX Quality
I'm hoping Razer will collaborate with Greetech and jack up the quality tolerance levels to make an even better key switch sometime in the future - all that's needed is to get rid of the key wobble , tighter fitting stems in the sleeves and tighter fitting keycaps - Then the BW will have no peers -

FWIT - instead of focusing on the actuation point - Razer needs to shed some more interest in eliminating key wobble by making the key stems fit tighter in the sleeves of the key switches - Then we Talking MAJOR upset to all other key switch manufacturers -
To the best of my recollection - MOST of the bad things aimed at the Blackwidow Chroma revolve around the switches and in particular the excessive key wobble -
the keyboard design in itself is IMHO even better than the K95 Platinum -
I've used the K95 platinum for a few hours and the only things it has over the Razer are the volume scroll wheel and the aluminum top plate - which to me isn't that important anyway - I Prefer the feel of the textured plastic top on the Blackwidow V2 - and the volume scroll wheel isn't a deal breaker but it would be a nice addition at some future refresh .
Fix up the key Wobble and Razer will have very little to be criticized by any reviewer -
C'mon Razer - fix the key wobble - Make the key stems fit tighter in the sleeves PLEASE -
Overall - I'm very happy with my Blackwidow Chroma V2 - the key switches are definitely a MASSIVE improvement over the original 2014 Khail switches -
Very consistent feel and click sound across the entire board.
it's still early days though and I'll post another report after a few months and see if the switch's click and feel holds up over time - I'm hoping they do .
Greetech definitely makes a better Razer green Switch than Khail IMHO - .

I got myself a Blackwido Chroma V2 and I love it overall - Great design and the new Razer Greens are much better than the original Khail made Razer Greens
but they are not perfect - there is still quite a bit of key wobble present .
I've done some testing and it seems the key wobble comes from the key switch stems not fitting tightly in the sleeves of the switches -
If Razer can just tighten quality control and tolerance levels on thekeyswitch manufacturing process it will elevate the feel and reputation of the new Razer Greens by a long shot -
99% of the negative things reviewers are saying about the Blackwidow Chroma is aimed at the switches .
fix the key wobble and all the negative things will be gone -
Overall I'm very happy with the V2 - the 2017 Greetech Razer greens are DEFINITELY way better than the first version of the Blackwidow Chroma -
