Yeah I also believe the same thing, users who are on this more often and contribute to these forums should be awarded more than just newer users. If they have it on time then people could easily just AFK on the website and do it so I reckon any system except for some could still be abused.

So since the thread is back up, who has any information about how they are revamping the rewards system? Will it be harder to receive a reward?

I dont have any info but I am guessing it willl be harder to get rewards if your whole intent is the reward system but if you are contributing and active it will likely be similar

I think they recently added the part about 2017 so it will be waiting at least until then.

Oh yeah, glad to know that they're back. It shocks me to understand what they were doing while it was down, but, I guess I can't complain!

Does your number of posts get reset when this happens?

Probably not, just the points you have in the rewards system maybe

Definitely not - to answer both of these questions, especially since currently the post count and "points you have in the rewards system" are the same thing. There is no reset except for a date and reward reset, at least not in the current system.

When they've gone to a new set of rewards in the past, all that has happened is that the tiers of rewards has reset. For example, I just ordered a mouse and am qualified to get a free Taipan, so I did. This means that I can't get another Taipan with another order. I have also recently gotten the keyboard bag via the Rewards, so I can't get that one again.

If they were to keep the same system, when it resets, my post count would remain the same, and I'd again be eligible for the 200 and 450 post count rewards, whatever it would be.

As we don't have information about the changes to the Insider Rewards system yet, those questions may be completely moot anyway. I doubt post counts will reset, because that's not only for the Rewards system, but also to help keep track of how active and helpful people have been on here.

Razer might noticed many people keep spam to raise their post count in order to get the rewards. New rewards system may not only giving out the reward by post count only.

I think that's the main reason as to why they are switching up the system

#1 this is spam, and #2 Razer takes literally months to reset rewards after expiration in the past.

Have a nice day, and please stop spamming.

Just speculation at this point, but from what we can tell it's a new system designed to help reward those who frequent the forums and are making positive contributions instead of being a simplistic and exploitable system like it is currently. Some have speculated that it might reward site visitation and likes, so those who visit often and post valuable comments will be eligible for better rewards than those who come rarely and just spam.

Guess we'll find out in 2017!

There is a conversation about that going on here. Doesn't seem like anyone know what's up with it yet. Only time will tell... sorta like when/if rewards reset. :D

Let's hope they get it changed before March xD If I'm lucky I'll have the money together for my first Build then (which obviously includes a Razer Ornata Chroma!) :3

Just a little note, Soon they are doing a 50% off sale for winning Best of CES for 7 years in a row, But they have not decided what system they are going to use yet. Just keep a eye out on your email or on insider rewards ;). Also like @bmoconno said, you can look at This link for more information.
