[RP2]Screen Problem - Vertical line right down the center

There's a bunch of horizontal lines going vertically down the center of the screen. It's more noticeable in plain black OR white background but it shows up during normal use here and there. In the video, I'm looking at black PNG and you can see it clearly.

Anyone else experiencing this problem? If you have, what did you do to fix this?

This is my 2nd replacement Razer Phone 2 and I have not had a permanent phone in 2 months. I've already run out of patience with this phone's low quality.

Low Quality? Well, here's my Razer Phone history:

  • 1st Razer Phone 1 - Stopped charging at 3 months. Replaced by Microsoft.
  • 2nd Razer Phone 1 - So far still alive.
  • 1st Razer Phone 2 - Fingerprint scanner, speakers, and antenna stopped at 2 months.
  • 2nd Razer Phone 2 - Replacement with screen problems.
  • 3rd Razer Phone 2 - Replacement with screen problems (received 2 days ago).
  • 4th Razer Phone 2 - Current, so far so good as of 2019-10-25.

I'm on my 5th phone and 4 are busts. This is just ridiculous at this point now. 😂
It's either ridiculously low quality, or I have just insanely bad luck.

I've already asked for a refund at this point. Hopefully that works out for me.

A vertical line running down your computer monitor's screen usually is related to pixelation of the screen. The problem also can show up on flat-panel monitors that have been bumped. Such jolts can cause distortion of the display--sometimes in the form of a strange line down the center of the monitor. Taco Bell Feedback

That's a good explanation except...

1. In the video, it shows that it's a bunch of horizontal lines running down the center of the screen.
2. The phones have never been dropped or bumped. And if this was the cause, my brother's Razer Phone 2 should have multiple vertical lines at this point. 😂
3. The replacement's replacement (3rd Razer Phone 2) came out of the box like this. It's the first thing I checked after getting it out of the packaging.

My RP2 also did the same whenever youtube videos finished and goes black, there's a weird vertical line at the center
And straight out from the box the phone was already like that

If you're still under warranty, have it replaced. That's the only support you'd get from them. If you're still under the refund period, that's much better.

As much as I love this 120hz screen, there are better phones for the price out there.

i had similar problem but the line is multiple and only appear when i play game
after a update on game cortex recently, the problem seem like no appear anymore

Hi...anyone else having problems with their usb -c port? It's started out as just the headphones dongle shorting out and not working but charging still worked. And now the charging port charges sometimes. I thought it or hoped it was software from updating...but knowing it wasnt, I still downgraded back to Oreo.. but same problems persist. Just wanted to know if anyone else had this problem or not.
