When does what end? Zvault? Whenever they want to end it. The mug? Whenever it's gone
Exciting to redeem Razer gears in future.
Now that is really and truly sad. Some people being that greedy just irritates me. Why deny someone else from getting something they really want in a way that they could obtain it, just so you could be a greedy bastard and earn some cash. zSilver isn't there for people to make money off of it, it's there to help fans find a way to obtain Razer items that they couldn't otherwise obtain. So yeah, that whole situation disgusts me.
You're right, but unfortunately, that's the way the world works. Supply and demand in effect. And while it may be morally questionable, the product is yours to do with as you please. If you want to sell it, it's your right to do so.
And the companies behind the product actually like when something like this happens, before it boosts the inherent value of the products, and if their products are seen as exclusive and valuable, so is their company.
LEGO does the same with their Ultimate Collector's Series. Limited runs of products that are sold at a premium price, then discontinued permanently. The UCS Millennium Falcon was originally sold for $499, but once discontinued, the prices soared. A mint condition set, unopened and unused, recently sold for $5,500. While this doesn't increase LEGO's revenue directly, it give their products an exclusivity unmatched by advertising. They made a $500 product, that's worth ten times as much and all they had to do was limit the sales.
Razer could easily sell the mug, if they wanted to, but by making it exclusive, they push the inherent value and thus increase the perceived value of their entire product line, because consumers think of the mug and think: "Razer makes popular, exclusive items. Maybe I should buy Razer stuff".
@Rotator - while I inherently agree that it's someone's right to do with their items as they please, I'm one of those who puts a significantly higher value on the moral side than their right to do so.
As for the analogy to LEGO, I do see the parallels, but also it's other consumers who are attempting to assign the value, not Razer themselves. In this particular scenario it's LEGO who is deciding how many of their special items to produce and what the value should be initially. Whereas Razer is just wanting to produce something for their fans who are dedicated to the company and have spent the time and effort to earn their own currency that has no value anywhere else. (unlike zGold which can be used for other real world purchases) So, to think of someone abusing the zSilver system just so they could obtain the mug/holder and sell it for cash - well, let's just say I hope that anyone who does that has their account permanently banned by Razer with no future access to the zVault system at all.
(there's always hope, right? lol)
I have such a long way to go for the mug haha I don't think i'll get it but I hope there will be more special items available. Nice initiative , I was inactive for almost 2 years and now I'm back and ready to score some zcoins
people like me who play all the day need to do a lot of zSilver so this is a good news, hope n love for the comunity.
( sorry for my english im a peruvian guy xD )
How would on redeem the Zsilver after getting the achievements?
Click Rewards at top of screen, then log out, log in, go to Rewards again and you'll be able to collect.
Well this is awesome and I only just found out about it accidentally. For gamers, by gamers.
Hello Razer, is the reward is for international reward? If it is, what about shipping?
This is just another zSilver promotion where you can retrieve zSilver for completing set tasks. You only redeem reward through zVault which is where you select your region and it generate a voucher code so that you can use to buy from your local Razer webstore at no cost. Certain items are only available in certain region and quantity.
Check the screenshot for an example (in this case its the Mug Holder)
Thank's a lot
Am I the only one who have an issue with recieving 50 zSilver after adding my location, Avatar, etc?
Additional idea for @razer - you may provide a discount, or coupone for "Razer Surround".
I personally would prefer to buy it with a discount, since I'm using it every day, and it enhances my ability to hear enemies in CS:GO.
I dig this. 5 hours of gaming a day should be no problem huehuehue
A waste of times, honestly
but it takes so long to earn silver... I just want a mug.
it have some delay in the rewords?
