Earlier, I ran into a big issue with my Blackwidow X Chroma. For a while, some of the keys starting "sticking." You know, they register key presses continuously. I press "n," for a single tick, and it's sitting there like "nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn." Sometimes, it wouldn't even register a keystroke at all! So I unplugged it. And I plugged it back in. And I get "Razer Bootloader." So I pull out the trusty "Onscreen Keyboard" that windows gave me, just so I can type, and proceed to test it on my PS4 (I don't have another computer, but the PS4 works with keyboards. Just so you know). It didn't work... No lights, no input, nada. (On that note, I should add that it has worked on the PS4 in the past. For a time, I didn't have a controller, so I used my keyboard to watch Netflix on my PS4. It was great.) I plugged it into all the different ports on my PC, even the two USB 3.0 ports. Each time. "Razer Bootloader."

So, my friend gave me this keyboard a little over a year ago. Bought it for me from GameStop. Refused to give me the receipt. And proceeded to lose it. I still contacted Razer Support, but I don't have proof of purchase any longer! So there's that...

However... I left it unplugged for about... 10 minutes. And suddenly, it works. It reinstalls the drivers first... but it works. Lights, input, Synapse, the whole nine yards. Can... ANYONE. Tell me what the hell just happened.

Sounds like ESD or something that temporarily killed your keyboard and after the keyboard got grounded by either placing it on the ground or it being left plugged out for a while. Weird, but yeah my PC once had a similar issue where everything froze up and wouldnt boot whatsoever. Turned it off and unplugged it from the wall, next day plugged it back in to find it working with no issues at all.

Hmm... I suppose. One detail I forgot to mention: the issues I was having before I unplugged had been happening for a good 5 hours, progressively getting worse.

and now it's doing it again. mostly on space, backspace, and "n." And half the time I can't shift. I'm getting so titled.

Another UPDATE. I got it back on and messed with some stuff. So I think this may have something to do with lights. I have turned on static and played with brightness. One brightness "press" up from fully off, it's working okay. No hiccups, it looks like.

I'm a little afraid to unplug it, again...

Once again. Update. That didn't work, it's not the lighting, I HAVE tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, I HAVE OF COURSE tried rebooting my computer, I'm beginning to think this board is borked to all hell. I'm about to go buy a corsa- WAIT I DON'T HAVE MONEY fml...

Have you tried plugging it in a different USB port? Also, try using the keyboard without Synapse running.

... Yes. And yes. I've done pretty much everything under the sun, I'm not new to hardware troubleshooting. But it's fine, I contacted support. They're going to replace the keyboard.

Yes. Although, I am wondering if I can ask them to send me a board with stealth switches, instead of the normal switches.
