Here is a thread to discuss about your PC hardware!

No Offensive or Rude Remarks Please
    House rules apply; be nice!

Here is my rig. Emphasis is on portability.

    MacBook Pro Retina 15"
    • 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 with Turbo Boost up to 3.7GHz
    • 16GB 1600MHz memory
    • 512GB PCIe-based flash storage 1
    • Intel Iris Pro Graphics
    • NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M with 2GB GDDR5 memory

I'm switching between OS X and Windows 8.1. Windows is for gaming exclusively and OS X is for everything else

It's not the best for gaming, but it's pretty decent. I am able to run most games on mid-high but only on 1920x1200. Anything above that will decimate the fps count.

I've tried running Battlefield 4 on ultra and on the max resolution of 2880x1800(I know, lower than the Razer Blade 2014) and it looks beautiful. But at the price of it running at 5fps, I'll gladly take 1920x1200.

However, it can run Source Engine games at maximum resolution and settings. Even CSGO. And boy, it looks gorgeous.

I bet it'll look better on the Razer Blade 2014 *hinthintjealoushinthint* :D:D:D

:slightly_sad: too bad.. When I was waiting for my HAF 912 Advanced to be available here I was running an open rig setup, for around an year I had no cabby at all it was all scattered on the table as my old cabby broke in to 3 pieces when it fell down from the table :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: The system was born and after a month it was like this:[IMG]
The table is a mess because it was teenager me ;)

Hahaha epic, btw, that cooler, is it any good? I wanted to get it before I went liquid but I heard bad stuff about it

Cooler is awesome.. does its job very well and is so quite(around 20dBa) that I can even hear my breath even when the system is running, it has manual fan control with Zalman fanmate. The only problem with it is installation as it is a headache and if not careful you will cut a finger or two on that sharp copper fins.. there is no aluminum on it so is very efficient too ;) my cpu doesn't go beyond 55c with 50% overclock on it :D

This isn't my first gaming rig, but it's the first I've built from scratch.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40 GHz Quad core
    Mobo: ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer
RAM: Kingston Hyper X Beast 4GBx2
Storage: 500GB (upgrading to 2TB soon)
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 2GB Windforce
    PSU: Corsair CX 500W Semi-Modular
    Case: Thermaltake Chaser A41

Since I plan to upgrade storage soon, would anyone recommend something specific? I'm not completely sold on getting a SSD at the moment. The performance vs price doesn't justify it imo.

you most probably will have a better processor than a Core 2 Duo and better ram than a DDR2.. don't worry you are most probably ahead of me :D
