I used to always have the latest and greatest, but due to either a paradigm shift in the gaming world (mostly consoles lagging behind, and limiting what developes do on PC) or a shift in my personal gaming patterns (I do it a lot less nowadays, to start with, and don't particularly care about maxed out graphics), my rig has been fairly stable and cheap for more than a few years.

    • AMD Phenom II X6 1100T (6-core, 3.3 GHz)
    • 16GB PC3-10600 memory
    • ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 motherboard
    • ASUS R9 270 with 2GB GDDR5 memory
Peripheral-wise: LG 24" LED main screen + LC 19" side screen, Razer Diamonback, 10$ Microsoft Wired Keyboard (I swear by these things; bought 10 at some point, to make sure I wouldn't run out soon - this is the last one, though. Still PS/2), Xbox 360 controller, Ozone Attack headset for gaming + Sennheiser HD550 for music.

Can't quite remember what else is in the case, but just standard components. Will probably install an SSD in the near future.
  11. AMD FX 8350
    32GB RAM
    2x 2GB AMD radeon R9 270 Hawk graphic Cards
    250GB SSD
and an additional 12TB of hard drive space
sadly a Razer Ouroboros mouse (total rubbish)

Hahahaha. This is hilarious. I can see some wire management there with those two SATA cables. At least the cooling is fine, otherwise what would be the purpose of the opened window? :D

Because it didn't have a start or reset button I had to short the pins to start and reset. The front USB pot can be seen near the optical drive and cooling was great because there was an aircon blowing 16c air right over the board ;) That opened window is actually closed by plywood to accommodate my Window AC, yep an ancient aircon but it ran for 5 years without break.
