Should I switch?

I have recently purchased a Mamba TE, I have until Wednesday to return it for full money back. I have heard many complaints about the mouse and have noticed the Z-axis liftoff bug, this hasn't bothered me much but I know it will most likely bother me after a longer period of use. I was looking at the Lancehead TE which has the optical laser, everyone is saying the optical is better as it does not have hardware acceleration, I am looking for some opinions on this. Should I return it and purchase the Lancehead TE? What is your experience with both of these?

IMO, I would suggest the Lancehead TE. I'm not sure about the wireless part, but if i would say in terms of comfort and usage wise. Lancehead is the best way to go. It's like the evolution of the Taipan + Deathadder = Lancehead. LANCEHEAAADDD! :D

From what i've heard the Lancehead seems to be the best mouse in terms of wireless capability and gaming performance. IMO return the Mamba and get the Lancehead!:D

Buy lancehead. It has been receiving great reviews before and the grip is really comfortable in my opinion.

Ya, they only have the Lancehead TE locally at the store so no wireless option for me. I also had bad experiences with Razer wireless mice. From what I've heard the sensor on the Lancehead TE is noticeably better.

Thank you for the opinion. I am looking to buy the one without wireless as that one has the optical sensor and is perfect for me as I don't really need the wireless capability.

Ya, I've read a couple reviews, it seems to be a good mouse. Especially the tournament edition which has the optical sensor.

Thank you for the input. I am highly considering switching it now, I mean I like the side stripes on the mamba but the lancehead has better performance it seems like.

And it has the side stripes too, really nice colored LEDs, compared to my Kraken 7.1 v2's for example. They kind of have brighter/warmer tones a bit.

Ya, I've seen the side strips but from pictures and videos they sort of seemed a bit hidden. It's alright though they still have them. So the LEDs look a bit different?

Well I cannot compare to anything besides my Krakens, but the ones on Kraken seem a bit dimmer brightness, not a big difference, just was mentioning how much I like the new mouse :D.

  11. The lift off bug, on my Mamba TE is slightly borthering me, but i wouldnt buy the Lancehead, the grip doesn't fit me.

I will have to see if I can get my hands on one in the store. If not I guess I will just have to go for it then see if I like it. I think I could return it if the shape is bad as the 2-week policy applies.

Ya, that's true, I guess I will just have to go for it and see if I like it. If not I guess I could return it as I am sure the 2-week policy applies.

I'd go for whichever one has the better RGB display and the most color options (wave, spectrum, etc.) for me its more about the looks then the performance, I get killed online a lot anyway so I just play for fun so performance is not a big a concern for me. I'm all about the CHROMA!

I'm the same way, I just don't want to experience issues in the future with the Mamba TE, I like the lighting more on this one. So far I've tried to play a couple games including CS:GO which actually didn't go too bad, the only issue was the lift off bug when I was turning and had to reposition my mouse it would make me look down for the duration my mouse was lifted.

Do not quote me on this, but I think if you choose a mousemat in Synapse options it helps with the liftoff thing.

I chose the Vespula Control as that's the one I am using right now, unfortunately it is the one I was using the whole time so it was bad. I decided to try clicking other and manually calibrating it, seems to have made the liftoff bug minimal, it barely moves now.

See, I was partly right then hahaha, glad to hear you got it fixed though.

This has to be the hardest decision haha. I don't know I may just go for it and see what the Lancehead feels like.

Decided to stick with the Mamba. It fits my hand and I don't have any issues with it + it looks really nice with the LEDs.

It really depends on what type of games you play for the sensor to matter although you would probably feel a slight difference between laser and optical sensors.

Are you going for a full RGB set up?
