A Razer phone for gamers? What would you want the phone to do? Be specially designed to play games on? The idea seems a logical next step with the Nabu, but there are allready plenty of phones and the market is ruled by big names. Most people would go for 1 of those. Razer would only get a handfull of people , i think.
So if they do go for a phone it should stand out! truly something different that is by and for gamers.

Nope... I don't think so as I think Razar can't gain a large market shape in the smartphone industry...

I want Razer to design a revolutionary phone with it's own unique OS rather than just using android or ios.

  4. Making their own OS would seem extremely challenging because the App/Play store will not contain all the apps like Android or IOS. You would need to get developers to create their apps on your platform as well, and if they do not see any potential revenue from it, they won't create the apps. I think just making a phone that will run slightly/unmodded android would be great.

IF Razer did make a phone it should be compared to the Marshall London phone. Completely reworked so that everything in that phone screams music, if razer could somehow do this with gaming I think it would be a huge success. I also think the only way this could be accomplished would be pairing up with valve, as having a steamos and integration into the phone would add massive appeal.

No, they'll put extremely advanced hardware in it and I feel like the design woold look cool but after a while just feel like a bad bat mobile.

I do not see the business case for Razer to make their own OS. I feel that Android is going to be the next big gaming platform. As the OS matures and tablets and phones get better hardware, the better the games will be. I like playing games on my Shield TV already. Plus, I like my cell phone, but I do not game on it. I have already removed all of the games from my phone and now days game on my tablet, laptop or Shield TV. Plus, the cell phone market has gone stale. The big feature I would like on my phone would be better battery life.

The next big place to go is Chromebooks. They are already out selling Macs in certain quarters. With the Android Play store coming out on Chromebooks this year, I can see that market exploding. A Chromebook with an i3 CPU and a discrete GPU for $300 would be a killer deal.

I think they should make a smartphone. Look at OnePlus 3 nobody knew the company and now they are selling those phones so quickly that they ran out of stock. It could be a good way for razer to expand.

I would love a smartphone with Razer designs.
Sturdy, fast-processing, preloaded with gamers apps, responsive and obviously beautiful.

Well as mobile gaming is predicted to grow a lot in the near future maybe it's an idea that is already into the company. The problem is that there are already a lot of option, plus are they going to go android? or make their own ecosysyem? If they do i think the idea should spend looooot of time on the planning board.

Unless Razer actually made a phone from the ground up and the OS then I'd say yes. It would need to do something that other phones CAN'T do. About another android phone? NOOOO! Because all it would be at that point is an android phone with the latest specs that all the other phones have with razer styled chassis.

A phone made for Vain Glory and indie games playable with a controller tied in with their current and maybe future mobile tech/small console? Possible yes, but an app to bridge say a Samsung phone or iPhone to their tech is more likely. Again this is what I think.

This says it all, just because you have the ability to make something. Doesn't mean you should. Now if they add features, designs or something that's a game changer, I would love to see one. But it's a very competitive market already. haha

  15. I think it would be interesting on what they come up with, however i do also think it could be a waste of time, and they should focus on what they are best at!

A Razer smartphone would be awesome! Lol, it would also be cool if it would light up with Chroma lights, which basically every Razer product does thees days.

Razer has always been about PC gaming no? Why diverge so much? Focus on its core business.

Razer a always been about pushing the limits and making products for the mainstream minority, gamers. If they make a phone, it can change the market like the blade did. Think about it, Razer devices are really Min's devices, if he can design his own phone, OS skin or all new os, it would be an absolute monster.
