Which one you prefer? Why and/or why not?

None of the above. I'm a lone wolf now. I don't want to deal with appointments, intrusions or making chit chat when I'm gaming. I'm just one of the random SC2 players now. It's all old hat to me now anyway. I did all that when it first came out and it was actually cool. Not the mundane, everyday thing it is now.

    Been there, done that.

I have used Skype before and it wasn't that bad. Never really used the other two.

Was using Comms before it got discontinued and then I moved over to Curse Voice, which is now rolled into the Twitch desktop app.

I honestly think discord is the best,First off very easy to use and you do not need to download anything(you can use the web browser for it) and inviting people to your discord is super easy just send them the link and BOOM that's it.

Honestly I think it depends who you are communicating with; if most of your friends use Discord, then I would join Discord.
    • Skype for 1 on 1; simple UI
    • Discord for 5+, controlled chat without the icon block; easy to manage versus Skype.
    • TeamSpeak for tournaments as it strains the least out of all the options you've mentioned.

Again this is just my opinion :D

discord all the way. It seems as though discord uses the least resources (network wise) and does not lag when I am playing multiplayer (lag is super tilting). Skype is just screwed up on my windows 10-when im in game skype always brings the app to the front, interrupting my game when Im in a skype call with someone so I dont use it anymore. Only thing about discord is after you close it, it still runs in the background and message notifications don't show, only the sound comes through which is the only downside to it.

TeamSpeak - using it with friends for a long time (several years), it's efficient in terms Internet usage, works well even on some lag.

I am using both Skype and TeamSpeak, and I must say that I can't feel the difference. Maybe because I don't really care when it comes to sound quality - if I can hear my teammates and they can hear me, it's good. :big_grin_:

I don't really like having to chat while playing if I don't have to, so generally I don't use any of them unless I have no choice. I do have a group of friends I join on occasion who all use Discord, so I sometimes I'm there. I have used TeamSpeak in the past, but not for many years. I also use Skype as more of a "business program" and text chat, not voice, when needed.

Generally speaking though, I'm just not very good at socializing if I'm not typing it. hehehe

  11. I'm a discord user. I loved Comms when it was out, it was my favorite chat program but now that its gone discord feels like the next best thing. Plus it's very user friendly and i rarely have issues with the quality. I have noticed some people having to disconnect and reconnect right after turning it on because it won't capture their voice, but maybe that's a isolated issue.

I still use Skype mainly. When we have a company meeting it's always on Skype. Even the old friends I have from an MMO are on Skype.

Discord is the overall winner for me. Skype just feels a little clunky, and I haven't used Team Speak in years. The Curse Gaming/Twitch app works well also. It appears to be very similar to Discord/Slack/Microsoft Teams etc.

Discord for sure, It's awesome! Skype is just horrible. Teamspeak is alright but Discord for sure replaced it for me.

Teamspeak, mumble, discord.... They are all the same to me. I have them all installed because each group of friends have a different program they use.

    It's annoying.

Since Discord came out TeamSpeak died for me personally. The program itself looks pretty nice and works flawlessly. I could also go and create my own server for free, thats a huge plus. I sometimes still use Skype but thats only if I wan't to share my screen to a friend or something like that.

Discord is sleek and easy to use and the ability to create multiple channels in a neat little interface is very nice. Plus havent had any problems with it so far. i have never been a fan of all these 3rd part voip thingies before, but Discord is turning out to be really good. Plus Discord has a whole other esports element to it: alot of teams out there use it for AMAs and stuff so its got a whole community-level thing to it....(something that everyone hoped Razer Comms would do...maybe Razer can buy out Discord :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)
