So I just bought a $160 mouse and I can barely use it?

Razer Viper Ultimate Cyberpunk mouse looks pretty on my desktop but there's no version of Razer Synapse that will run on my Mac running OS 12.4 and I can't find anything that says it will ever be supported on my platform.

Why wouldn't you mention this in the product description? I wouldn't have spent the money if I knew it was barely supported. I can't change any of the regular mouse parameters (e.g. tracking speed) and can't use any of the chroma.

Do I have this right?

Unfortunately Razer Viper Ultimate to customized Required Synapse 3 and from the official Razer FAQ web Synapse 3 is not supported for Mac OS. theres couple ways, one for you to set on board memory on Viper from Windows OS or u can check second pict to make it work on Mac OS

Also, there's another way to make it work

Synapse 3 is not supported on macOS unfortunately.
You can try using 3rd party software like Razer macOS: https://github.com/1kc/razer-macos but you'll be not able to change all parameters.

Some things you'll need to change via windows, and save into onboard memory, but Chroma settings, and DPI should be able to change via Razer macOS.

Its so frustrating that people have to use third party software because Razer won't pull their finger out and make an actual solution for mac

For many months and years, we have been doing this discussion tirelessly~~~

It needs to stop!! until Apple signs a deal with R Λ Z Ξ R.

R Λ Z Ξ R's Synapse 3.0 peripheral vision is all-in towards "Gaming".
Comparing MacOS to Windows; MacOS have improved their Gaming, but is still not enough compared to Windows.

Apple is lacking the focus on Gaming direction. If MacOS users want something from R Λ Z Ξ R, they'll have to shift the blame towards Apple. Advise them to change or alter their vision, and sign a multi-million dollar contract with R Λ Z Ξ R to upgrade Synapse 3.0 for MacOS compatibility.

Until Apple negotiates a contract with R Λ Z Ξ R for a new software or upgrade the Synapse 3.0, no further discussion can be made.

I tried helping out an Apple user with her Huntsman Mini use on MacOS. Check out the the following thread~~~

Hoping that R Λ Z Ξ R peripherals that interact with Synapse 3.0 has an onboard memory profile. But it does not.

For MacOS users, there are 3 options to utilize R Λ Z Ξ R Synapse 3.0 peripherals

  • Use Bootcamp on Apple Mac product to run Windows on MacOS
  • Install Windows on Windows compatible iMac or MacBook
  • Otherwise new PC with Windows 10 or 11 is waiting for you
I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to have people not understanding why Apple is not assisting their users by working with Razer as a company. I think we all have a role to play in this, it is clear that Razer has been pursuing a contract but it also needs to come from the user base. Every version of MacOS has a feedback application where MacOS users can interact with Apple and ask for bug fixes and for suggestions. Clearly it needs to come from the users of these fine products as well as quarterly interactions from the Razer teams. I only purchased my first Razer product today, and I do have a Windows machine that I could update the firmware, and now we need to take action to have a port of Synapse. It is quite simple. Other manufacturers have created their software (some with more success than the others - lol). So, Apple users, we need to use a double edged sword, it should not only have to come from Razer, it needs some push from the community as well.

Apple products are great; it certainly is.
But in the Eyes of R Λ Z Ξ R's vision towards Gaming, Apple does not meet the standards.

There is a saying "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours"
"You support me, and I'll give you a favor"

Up to date, most of us have watched Esport tournaments, have you ever seen an Esport tournament contender who use an Apple product? (Excluding smartphone tournaments)

R Λ Z Ξ R does give some to Apple consumers, for example Synapse 2.0 products, laptop stand, mouse mat; anything that does not require Synapse 3.0 connectivity.

The following link shows all R Λ Z Ξ R products that require Synapse 3.0 connectivity~~~

Things will get better for Apple consumers with R Λ Z Ξ R, if Apple changes their vision towards gaming and signs a multi-million dollar deal for Synapse 3.0 compatibility.
