  1. Have anyone had bad experience with solidworks on Razer blade 14?

I am using razer blade 2014 with the specification as in the link below:
    http://www.razerzone.com/au-en/gaming-systems/razer-blade-2014

What happened is I am using solidworks and its performance is terrible. I experienced lag and delay for the simple tasks such as extrusion or creating dimensions on sketch. I have used solidworks 2015 and 2016 version. Both have the same outcome.

I dont have this issue while play any games. It ran smoothly and meet my standards. Only issue with solidworks, which is my main CAD program for working and studying.

Have anyone experienced this and had solutions?

    Things to check
-Run on High Performance battery mode
-Run with the Nvidia Graphics card, not the integrated intel card
-Make sure your cpu doesn't have a cap
-Check your thermals, stuff may be overheating, use a cooling pad
-If you have AutoCad try that out and see if it has the same problems, to determine if its every cad program or just your PC.

  3. Thanks for the reply. I have done most of the thing you recommended, except for testing autocad. Im not sure what you mean by "make sure your cpu doesnt have a cap"

Some people put a limit the clock speed on their cpu so it saves battery. Was just wondering if you had done that in the past and forgot about it.
