I saw it, I personally was entertained, but it wasn't perfect, it had plenty of plot holes and things that didn't add up.

Who else get goosebumps when Rey and Ben fought side by side? (Rayban, lolol)
and Admiral Holdo Jump to lightspeed to destroy snoke's ship.

It was cool when Holdo hyperspaced but it made no sense. Why don't the rebels just always make small ships then use them to take out an entire fleet of giant enemy ships? The First Order should have just used a Tie Fighter to blast through the resistance and finish them.

And Finn dragging Rose a mile across open area without getting shot? Finn and Rose inches from death, surrounded by hundreds of troopers and Phasma, but then they are the only ones to survive no problem. Then strangely Phasma marches out? And why was DJ even in jail when he could leave anytime? If Yoda can effect the physical world why doesn't he just go kill Snoke/Hux/Kylo?

I'm really hoping Disney doesn't kill Star Wars.

I was sad, as a long time Star Wars fan. I think I now know what it feels like to be a comic book person and see Disney screw up Marvel. It was a good movie, but it was a terrible Star Wars movie. They just failed to create any sort of character dynamic, or even make you care about them. I mean... I actually didn't even care about the Luke situation, because they totally failed to develop any sort of character in him. The whole franchise is now a few cheesey jokes, a few plugs for some new toy to sell, and kill EVERYONE for no reason what so ever. I was quite sad.

But, as a person who is not a comic book person, I love all of the Marvel stuff, and now can relate to my friends that hate all the Marvel stuff Disney does. They just don't understand Star Wars, or the universe that Lucas created. They pretty much proved that in this movie.

    personally hated this movie

too many plot holes and bad writing
mind boggling that the script that it was even approved

threw in too many unnecessary jokes

the sidestory of finn and rose was the weakest part and took me out of the movie

leia flying in space was crazy stupid

A bit childy and not very subtle jokes. It's not what we've been used to... but it's good that it changes eventually.

That pretty much sums up how I felt about it as well. However, I definitely appreciated the passing of Luke and how he joined his fellow predecessors the way he did. That made me happy to see.

I don’t like Rey on last Jedi, I like her on force Awakens, I think she is sexier before and a bit fat on last Jedi;)

watched the movie with my son and he got bored feel asleep and hes a 11 yrs old! For me it was one horrible mess! less saber scenes, 1 spaceship chase scene covered the whole storyline, Mary Poppins scene with Leia, the still immature Luke ranting and hiding but left a map for other people to find him idea. Finn and rose storyline is useless they failed in the end wasting lots of screentime, Poe becomes an idiot. the hyperdrive collision is fuckin doesnt make sense!! If they do that then most of the time all hyperdrives by the millenium falcon must have cause collisions with rocks and planets. And most of all they killed 2 of the most beloved characters in starwars franchise Luke and Han, Leia must have sense hers will be killed of in 9 so she beat them to it

Oh come on - movies are (or should) not be about that!!! And one of the few things that are actually good about the new starwars films is that they have female characters that are not damsel in distress tropes.

I feel the same. Plus the fact that they had to bring in certain tropes from the previous films. For some reason they thing they need to copy from the old films in computer graphics instead of coming up with something new.
I really liked the whole mind projection thing - its something that is found elsewhere in lore.
My main problem with SW 7 and 8 is basically that SW7 plus the greater part of SW8 is just the prelude to some new story with new heroes in that they kinda kill off every old character and organisation in the known universe to make room for now story plots. *But* if they wanted to do that they could have just put it in the Starwars text scroller at teh beginning and just start with their new story instead of having us watch 1,75 movies for a "prelude". Just my feeling on this.

TBH it's Disney making their own story. It had moments that felt more OG trilogy, others were sometimes too corny/cheesy. Although ep IV-VI had these cheesy bits thrown in, it was a bit over the top in the Last Jedi.... but I kind of saw that coming with Finn's banter all through VII. Still not as bad as ep I-III. The Prequels killed Star Wars for me. Lucas pretty much destroyed the franchise himself.

All in all I enjoyed the film just not as much as VII. Story is definitely driven by the two apprentices relationship and character development everything else takes a backseat.

A bit disappointing for me because the storyline didn't really feel original

I'm a Star Wars fan since I was a child, and I loved every movie in the saga so far. I was a bit disappointed with the Force Awakens since it was a big copy-paste but it was still a good movie and respected star wars universe and characters. After watching The Last Jedi, I felt a disturbance in the Force, and for the first time in my life, I was saddened after going to the cinema. RJ turned the characters and universe into a big joke for teenagers, with special effects, shiny lights and ships, but no soul, no logic, no magic, nothing to make us dream. They turned the most epic and interesting space story and universe into just another generic blockbuster like transformers or pirates of the caribbean, it's marvel in space with people who use the Force as superpowers, but without the fun.
