The recovery drive contains all the drivers.

There is NO ribbon cable. I just swapped mine a bit ago.

If you are planning to upgrade to a Pro/Enterprise version of Windows I'll have a guide showing how to set all that up with recovery as well.

Finally received my new Razer blade 512GB from Razerzone, I ordered mine on 3/20, it got shipped out yesterday, and I just took delivery of it!
The long wait is finally over!

No you unscrew it then it kind flips up like a stick of ram. It will pull out easy. You put the new one in it just slides in, then you just hold it down while you screw it back in.

  4. I'll check that now. Ran benchmark a couple times and read went up a bit, but overall meh...

Go check out YouTube for that driver issue if you can't figure it out, I'm 100% sure those read speeds should be over 2000.

  6. Yeah - this was definitely the easiest upgrade I've made. Was still a bit worried going into it, but after.. piece of cake.

  7. I am not sure where you would get the driver from, but here is the installation guide for the driver.

I'm looking to see if they have an updated driver for the PM951.

God I hope its a driver issue. Those read speeds are crap and I know that drive is capable of much more. I hope it isn't a limitation of something on the computer

I would feel a lot better if there were an all inclusive video for replacing the ssd and also reinsalling windows 10

The 950 Pro needs the SSD driver to run at its best, PM951 I'm pretty sure is as good as it's gonna get.

    There will be soon.

  12. It could be the benchmark test that we are using doesn't accurately measure the drive speeds. I am going to try another benchmark tool.

  13. Updated driver... and that's a bit better ;) thanks!

Haha you went from 130 write speed to 1497. Good times. I knew something looked off.
