Well.... Here are benchmarks done in CrystalDiskMark before and after driver installs for the 950 Pro.

If someone with a OEM configuration do a test in Crystal that would be great.

    After:

Do note that the 950 Pro can throttle and these were all run one after another, so results will likely vary.

  4. What software do you recommend for monitoring system temperatures?

    For the processor:

For the GPU, this lets you monitor temps as well as overclock. Ive used it on every machine ive ever gamed on. Supposedly The 970m is very overclockable up to the performance of a stock 980m. Just puttin that out there don't break your system:

I'm sure it's just another amazing coincidence that the location of your charges in LA, including a freaking cable bill (which would only be done for someone living there) is directly linked by a commuter rail to Irvine where Razer is headquartered

If it can get to the performance of a 980m, I would have much less regrets about trying to buy it.

The tradeoff is increased heat and strain on your board though, so again proceed with caution.

  9. Here is the results from the PM951 OEM Drive. It looks better than the PC Benchmark Results: CrystalDiskMark-PM951.png

Well I guess that sums that up, for those of you debating on the purchase of a 256gb model and a 950 Pro, the 950 blows the PM951 out of the water.

Glad to know my purchase was a good one :)

  11. I am wishing I would have gotten the 256 and upgraded the drive to the 950 PRO. :slightly_sad:

So I am assuming if one were to somehow miraculously mess up whilst replacing the ssd, Microsofts' insurance would not cover it.

Also, I am waiting for you video so I can see if a pleb like me can replace the ssd, or if I would have troubles.

Also, naturally, dont smaller drives have slower read/write speeds? Would like to see the speeds from someone with a stock 512gb ssd in it

If you get the Microsoft warranty thing for 130 bucks it covers accidental damage. So say Gurge you hulk out drive a screw driver through the board I think you would be covered lol. Especially since opening the lid does not break manufacturer warranty.

  15. My results were from the 512gb.

I'm not sure how you would mess it up, there are 10 T5 torx screws, pull off the backing and the SSD is right next to the battery. 1 screw and it's done. Unless you decide to be stupid and spill water onto the motherboard or smash a hammer into it you should be fine.

It's literally the same as the blade stealth except there is no ribbon cable to unplug, and there are plenty of videos on the stealth.

MS should cover you for accidental if you get the insurance from them for an extra $100.

I am doing a detailed written guide on the recovery process and clean installs. There will be a small portion dedicated to the SSD swap with pictures mostly because it's insanely easy to do and there's no point in doing a full video on the process. I mean... I get it if watching someone unscrew T5's from the back of a laptop is your fetish or something but that's pretty much all it would be lol

Buying the insurance and the ssd would be more expensive than just buying the 512gb one though.

Ill just keep playing it safe. whatever is in it is miles faster than my current pc, leme run a test

yes... it really is that slow

How did I miss it... I had the order info and everything filled out and placed the order within 30 seconds of it coming in stock...

    $2155 + 178 tax for the 256 GB + 2 year accident protection + express shipping

The 950 Pro is steep though - another $350 for that

Should I just keep this verify order page up so I can get it in one click when it loads?

or should I set an auto clicker on it, so whenever it is in stock it clicks it
