it randomly comes in and our of stock. Just stay online and keep refreshing the page until it pops up in stock. It took me 9 days of constant monitoring until l I finally got mine.
  2. CONGRATS! Looks like almost everybody is getting their blades now, mine should be arriving thursday, I am hoping it would get here earlier

When did you order I ordered April 26 and still haven't gotten an update. I was promised 50 dollar store credit so I'm waiting for that (ordered a 512 model btw)

I doubt I will get it now. My CC company thought it was a fraud charge and blocked it. I okay'ed it but I have seen in the past that when this happens the merchant cancels the order. Microsoft did this to me on the Surface Book and I had to re-order it.

You should always call ahead to your CC company in large purchases to make sure they don't count them as fraud. This prevents issues like this.

You are right but I had no idea when they would charge it, not even within weeks of the actual date. This thread led me to believe it would be sometime in June, maybe July. Oh well I will try and get one off eBay near the end of the summer when they figure out how to run a manufacturing company.
  8. The 256 GB version has been in stock for the past 50 minutes (Microsoft store)!
Yet, I'm sitting here and am not willing to order and pay the stupid CA fees and taxes. I'd rather go back to FL after my internship and order one there.

So I've been playing around with the new Blade, and it performs fairly well with solid 60FPS on 1080p high settings Overwatch. But there definitely is noticeable coil whine at quiet environments, but the bigger concern for me is the AC adapter, which makes a constant, even louder and higher-pitched squeak.

Fans are expected to be running a lot on such a thin laptop. I haven't noticed anything from the power supply, I can check when I get home tonight but that seems unusual...

Seems as though microsoft has my order as a "backorder" on the order status page. I though they only sold what was in stock.

I just got my shipping info the wait is finally over boys leggo.
I just want to thank all of you for entertaining me with 162 pages to keep me from thinking about my blade.
My expierience was that razer delayed it for 2 months and then my order got cancled but support was actually really helpful. They told me to send them my old and new order number and in less than 2 hours of ordering and sending them the info my order shipped.
Thank you technokat for helping me

Yupp. Same for coil whine for me as well. To be fair most thin gaming laptops seem to have them, including MSI GS40, which is almost identical spec wise.

I received my Blade on Saturday from Razer and it is truly a phenomenal laptop. Sure, the next version will be better considering Pascal, but today; you won’t find a more svelte, stylish powerhouse than the Blade.

This laptop exceeds my expectations, and what Razer has been able to do truly sets them apart in the industry. The Razer order process and communication however is a stark contrast to their engineering talent and an area where they have to improve if they are going to sell direct.

There is a big difference between making a computer and selling one.

My unit arrived with no issues - nothing loose, or misaligned. I picked up a Samsung T3 1TB Portable SSD to pair with it, so I’m using the built in 512GB SSD for the OS and my core applications, and a few “must have at all times” games and the T3 for really large games (i.e., Fallout 4) and my data files - which can be huge.

I’ve not had a chance to benchmark it yet but my general impression is that it is very quick! Fallout 4 looked great and was comparable to what I see on my X99 box with a 980Ti. I think the 6GB of RAM on the 970M is at work here.

I set the fans for “Performance” as opposed to quiet, but they are not overwhelmingly loud, and the Blade is not getting anywhere near unbearably hot. I do hear a slight buzz from the adapter, but more concerning than the buzz, (and I have to strain to hear it) is that under load, the adapter gets quite hot.

The first accessory I’m going to get is a replacement adapter since this one seems to be exclusive to the Blade. If it goes belly up, once your charge is exhausted you’re dead in the water.

Also, the Blade comes with Windows 10 Home. I needed Pro for domain support, so I upgraded in place. BTW, to my surprise, there is a way to upgrade to Pro without having to purchase a Pro license, at least it worked for me.

As soon as I got my shipment email, I stopped reading this thread every hour. My Blade arrives today. No sleep tonight.

For the record, I ordered on 4/7.
