[Status update] Blade 2016 shipment

  1. Have been watching this thread, but decided to be patient with the delays. Things happen after all, and an earthquake is not something they can control.

    After several delays my blade seems to finally be available, but now the order is held up by my mouse mat being on back order.

    I called customer support and emailed to ask for an indication on timing. So far no answer. Asked if I can cancel the mouse mat from the order. Not possible, I would have to cancel and reorder. Asked if they can send part of the order separately. Nope.

    I pre-ordered and stuck with razer and gave them the benefit of the doubt even when the MS store started shipping. Unfortunately it is becoming harder to back up a company that is showing little consideration to its fans and customer support.

  5. I don't think it's that they don't have considerations for their customers, they just don't know how to do direct sales - which is a problem, since they clearly have aspirational goals to drive their sales in that direction.

    I would heartily suggest you cancel your direct order & get it from Microsoft instead. They have far more robust processes in place (interestingly, I really don't really think MS cares about their consumers, but they have more experience and better store processes in place, so they end up doing a better job than Razer, who I sincerely believe does care about us).

    I placed mine yesterday and now it's showing as backordered. I'd be upset, except I'm hiking on the Appalachian Trail I guess I'll get it when I get it...

    My friends who ordered in March, have their Blades already. I keep getting pictures and text on how great the Blade is. I guess this is the karma I have earned.

    I have the same backordered status as well. If it doesnt get here tommorow im going to get them to refund my 16$ 1-2 day shipping fee.

    Your luck is phenomenal. You should take your blade to vegas once you get it and gamble.

    Processing doesn't count as shipping. Your 1 day starts from the second its in the UPS's hands.

    I still dont understand how I was backordered. They were still listed as in stock at least 15 minutes after I got my confirmation email that my order was placed.

    The 256gb one has been up for 10 hours now.

    Microsoft Store is even going into backorder now? I thought they only sell what is readily in stock. I wonder if they made too few 512GB versions, or are those models that popular. Can't really imagine everyone having to have 512GB and won't settle for a 256GB (although I couldn't live with a 256).

    From my experience, they really can't do anything. Their entire system is pretty much automated and they have no control over it. They basically can tell you sorry, you're out of luck and place a new order. I know others spoke highly of their customer service, but in my opinion it is absolute garbage. You're better of leaving it alone in my opinion. I called and talked to probably 10 different people and had placed 5 orders to get 2 laptops. So... yea won't be doing that again.

    A backorder is a backorder, that's just how it is.

    Support is only support, they didn't write the website or there order systems. So if there is an issue it pretty much just gets sent to the appropriate team.
