That's the stealth, not the blade 14.

Edit: nm, looks like you figured that out and deleted your comment. :)

About to cancel my order, I have a G750JM ATM which can get me by so I'm gonna wait for computex and see what comes out. If Razer releases a new Blade Pro with a Pascal GPU I'll be happy. Besides.... I would prefer the 17 inch screen and addition of a HDD.

Yeah took it down right away. Ran through the video a second time and realized what I heard on the first run wasn't what I originally thought.

  4. Just got another email pushing my date back to the 5/25 from 5/18. That was the final straw. Can anybody comment on the build quality of the Aorus X3/X5 v5. I like the size of the X3 but the 980m in the X5 looks nice. Battery life seems atrocious though.

I was going to buy it in US in July but now I'm looking for other options. Those whole situtation wit delays, no information/updates on release dates in other regions is as bad custommer support as it gets.

I can let you know in a couple days. Ordered one. Not much out there as far as reviews and such for their newest model. Some retailers have a pax bundle going on with free backpack, mouse, mouse pad, and headset

    5/25 now?
    Mine still says 5/18.
    I hope I don't get an email today. :slightly_sad:

Apparently both mobile and desktop variants are supposed to be out at Computex, although the nVidia rumour mill hasn't been exactly accurate in the past couple of months.

That's why I wait until a product is in stores, I hate dealing with pre-orders unless there is some incentives for ordering. For instance, if you were to give a 10% discount for those who pre-order on the first week then I'd gladly pre-order.
Instead, I'll wait until the microsoft store gets it so that I can get a 10% student discount.

  11. What are you going to do if it doesn't arrive by then?

I have to say as a consumer that just spend thousands of dollars on multiple products from Razer, I'm more than disappointed by their forum moderator professionalism as well as their lack of transparency. I found the "try me" comment more than especially disturbing. I seriously suggest that you re-visit appropriate communication etiquette (volunteer or not) with moderators who feel that its necessary to use language like that on behalf of your company, ESPECIALLY when remarks like that are made at potential consumers. I can honestly say that allowing anyone to speak on behalf of your company in such a way nearly made me cancel my order IMMEDIATELY out of principle. Random internet morons might be allowed to use any kind of language they want but representatives should be held to a much higher standard

As for the lack of transparency- in addition to making me consider cancelling my entire order, this is forcing me to strongly reconsider purchasing any products from Razer again (this is coming from someone who already has a few thousand dollars invested in Razer products).

I'm not sure how else to express my extreme levels of discontent with Razer at this point. (Especially on a seemingly over-moderated forum)

All I can say is that I hope that your (Razer) inability to communicate clearly (which includes things like realistic release dates/ship dates) improves dramatically within the next three weeks or I will most likely be paying more money for an inferior product from a company with a superior reputation and communication skills.

I'm fairly certain (based on what I've seen so far) that Razer is overconfident about its market power and insensitive to individual consumer response, so I'm not really expecting anything that I'm saying to make any difference.

Apologies to any who wasted time reading the rant that is this post. I just cannot strongly enough express my discontent for the way that this entire situation was handled. After advocating Razer's image through previous miscommunication and other inconveniences this particular situation has really made me reconsider being a "fanboy" at all anymore. The most frustrating/disappointing companies in the world to work with/purchase from are the ones that you feel are either/both unreliable/untrustworthy.

As for an alternative I am considering a top level Macbook Pro. If anybody has any other suggestions for a similarly sleek/powerful mobile computing solution I'd love to hear them.

  13. What is a good alternative for gaming? I'm a new father and want a laptop so I can game without having to be in my office where it is difficult to be with my infant. Obviously that discounts Mac and the XPS only has a 960M which isn't going to cut it. I looked at the Sager line but I can't get a read on how loud they would be and I've heard they feel really cheap.

^ great response JD64 my thoughts exactly. I have multiple Razer products but this is just enought. Any info would be nice - even information that they plan to release Blade and Stealth in other markets in Q4 - then I wouldn't bother with them at all.

Sorry you feel that way. To clarify, these moderators are here strictly on a voluntary basis, and neither one of them are here to officially communicate on behalf of Razer, Whatever their input is here is non-representative of our position as they do not hold official information and we've reached out to them simply to keep order in the forums.

These volunteers are fellow fans and consumers, sought out because they have been active, often times more polite and have been identified to be able to show capability in being discerning to what is appropriate behavior on Razer Insider, offer the necessary help and thus entrusted with a little more power than our average forum users. As fans and consumers, they are also individuals that will feel strongly towards a particular cause, and react when caused to act. In any other given situation, a slip up would have been pointed out by us and rectified - they are also humans and they make mistakes. The high tension situation here has unfortunately dropped the threshold for the tolerance of errors. I'd like for everyone to make nothing more of that.

That said, I will be taking responsibility for not managing a better process for our volunteers, this is a new community channel we're working to grow and we've been toying with the idea of empowering our fans - so I'd certainly keep this in mind. Feel free escalate this and provide additional comments through our direct feedback on www.razerzone.com.

I'd disagree when anyone says that we're insensitive to individual comments and feedback.
Your input is what helps us get better, and the fact that we've been able to deliver different iterations (the Blade Pro, the Blade and Blade Stealth) from the original Razer Blade years back is testament to that. And not just that - you should be able to see the different improvements we've made to our other products - many of these are attributed to you. It matters to us that even fans like you are expressing your extreme discontent at the situation.

The fact is this - has the dates for the Razer Blade shipment been moved? Yes.
Do we have more information to provide? We will have updates when we have them.

The new Razer Blade is one of our best gaming laptops to date, with the Chroma lighting technology on it a direct result of fans' requests. I cannot see a reason why this shouldn't be in the hands our fans earlier. But yet it happened. Are we sorry that this happened? You bet we are.

We get your discontent and we'd like to ask for your patience on this. When we have more updates on this, you can be assured that we'll let you know.

  16. I have to admit that the blade 2016 is the best gaming in its class. But is it timed correctly with the upcoming new pascal cards? I don't know about that. 2 months of delay equates of 2 months the technology is getting obsolete wouldn't you agree? I'm just venting out really because i need this computer badly by May 2nd.

Since Friday I have been asking myself over and over again on why can't razer release a formal updates with regards to the delay. This makes think and question that something really bad must have happen internally that even the communication channel was kept in the dark by the top management. By the fact that you have released another "Ship date" it should mean that you are estimating your products to be ready that day for shipping. Hence, Razer should already know the problem including how to fix it for them to give another ship date. But then again, your meaning of "ship date" is becoming something else now. Maybe try "Estimated ship date" instead so that customers will not lock on that date.

I just seriously wonder why are you being kept in the dark on what's happening inside your company. Aren't you troubled by the fact that you don't know what's going on internally and the fact that you have to face hundreds of disappointed customers?

  17. If I wasn't losing 0% APR each month it gets delayed I probably wouldn't care as much. But that fact alone is really getting to me. More credit towards the Core though would probably shut me up.

You would all feel so bad about complaining if the delay is caused by the inclusion of Pascal and that Razer just can't say it yet ... :eek_:

Yeah I know, it won't happen, but if this Blade had a Pascal GPU I would buy it right now :big_grin_:

I feel your frustration, but I'm still pretty sure they have a good reason to delay. And like I always say "never PRE-order anything".

  19. If Pascal was the reason I would also shut up. Buuuuuut. *crickets* .....

  20. I think it is a big slap in the face that a select handful were offered a free case after the first delay and now that everyone's is delayed they aren't doing anything for the rest of their customers. I wouldn't even be upset if nobody was offered anything for the delay but why are some deserving of a freebie for waiting when we are all waiting?
