  1. Total BS. The cat is either alive OR dead. I never fell for that existential thinking.

But, on topic, it seems like my discount code will be honored based on email responses by Razer.

  2. As you might tell, I am having a bad buying experience. This would not bother ME so much, but I convinced my neighbor to purchase a Stealth so she could also get the Core at a discount. So now I feel responsible for her being in limbo, when all Razer has to do is allow everyone to preorder the Core and apply their current discount code. Allowing some people to pre-order and not others is very elleteist thinking. In Russia, it is called "face control." Congratulations, I just compared Razer to Russia.

Now, my neighbor and I both have to wait while Razer gets its act together, jump through hoops if we have expired codes and hope for the best. Oh yeah, and I have to do this from Ukraine, because, you know, some of us have to work to pay for these expensive toys.

Wait a minute, Russia has lately been treating Ukraine very badly. The similarities between Russia and Razer are becoming more evident.

Glad to hear your cat is feeling better.

Seriously though, contact support, ask them directly. They probably can't make a general statement on the forum saying they will, or they'll be held to taking Core codes from now until the internet dies.

Only worry I have is there might be a backlog of folks waiting to order and as soon as you have a chance to order it, your code doesn't work and then you have to wait for a new code and 5 seconds later the next round of Cores sell out.

Razer officials are really quiet these days about the Core shipment. Not a good sign. Razer please give us something for us eagerly waiting for the Core

Perhaps they are ironing out the bugs before they send out the third batch.

  7. Hey Guys:
Do any of y'all know if the aftermarket versions of the 1080 or 1070 would fit in the core? Or just the reference cards??

Step 1. Look at the core dimensions listed on the website.

Step 2. Look up card dimensions of cards you are interested in.

Compare the two and come to a conclusion...i hate laziness.

  9. Wow. Thanks for that.

I have the dimensions for the core. I couldn't find any dimensions of the after market cards and hence the post.

    Jezz......

I hope this is accurate. Setting up the Core was a pretty painful process, and my first call to Razer support actually resulted in the guy telling me it was defective and needed RMA before doing much troubleshooting. You really have to monkey around with installing/uninstalling drivers and Synapse before the Core will even get recognized by Thunderbolt, then more steps. It's like breadcrumbs that you can't see until you are standing on top of them, and you get a little more functionality along the way until it finally completes and starts working.

That was uncalled for. In general, one should assume that other posters are as knowledgeable as you are, and act accordingly,

This is a case of smugness meeting a comeuppance. To the OP - I have the ASUS ROG STRIX dimensions: 11.73 " x 5.28 " x 1.57 " Inch, which means it should fit.

    I hope that is helpful...

  13. Thank you kind Sir! That was one of the cards I was looking for.

Yeah, its kind of a joke at this point. Im kind of glad now that i didnt get to preorder seeing how im hearing a lot of problems. Its a shame. Hopefully they get it ironed out. Seems obvious thats the reason everyone keeps dancing around giving us info on a actual release date. I keep getting the answer of, "it already is released, ________blah blah blah_______." Lol so frustrating. No, it has gone on PRESALE, which seems to translate to "trial-run using customers as r&d guinea pigs". I dont know what their definition of release is, but to me it means on the market to the masses. Like i said, I hope they fix the issues that seem to be effecting more than just a few people. Has anyone (who actually recieved the Core) gotten theirs setup and consistantly working as advertised without a problem??? If so, they either dont get on here or they are staying quiet...heck maybe they are just too busy having such a good experience that they are too busy gaming to share their experience? *Sigh....*

Honestly it isn't that difficult to set up. I hope people take their time and follow the directions, and soak up all of the information people have provided here. You will probably even enjoy setting it up and watching it light up for the 1st time.... Of course that's when it becomes available again that is.

@Judge86 You have your working without a hitch? Consistantly, as advertised, not having to adjust things here and there? Please renew my faith....
Also your name, is the 86 for your year of birth, or do you have yourself a Toyota GT86 :)
(Scion FRS)? I have to ask

Correct. the only problem I had was with the wifi. I changed the priority of ethernet to after wifi and the rest is history. if I plug it in it starts to work within a few seconds and when I unplug it just gets slower.. More laptop like.
