Adding in some more info for people considering the Core. So, the Alienware Graphics Amplifier (AGA, Alienware's proprietary $200 version of the Core) receives 21k graphics score (Fire Strike) using GTX 1080 while the Core receives only 17k (on mine and many others). It is disappointing especially considering the fact that the AGA has slightly lower bandwidth than Thunderbolt 3.

  2. lol Osprey I have faith in you, i'm sure you'll be enjoying a core from this stock :) I personally can't sit by my comp 24/7 with work and family needs lol :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

  3. You just made my wait very interesting... Can I ask for the source if you don't mind? I believe you entirely but this brings a lot of questions up :)

  4. Yeah, this blade is portable and I don't have any major responsibilities for the rest of the summer. Going to enjoy it while it lasts before college starts up. If you subscribe to this thread and opt for the email notifications I'm sure your phone will blow up when they drop so you can grab one too :)

This is found from a Reddit forum from someone who uses the Alienware setup. OK 20k Graphics score, still 3k higher than what my Core gets.

  6. Just not sure what I am missing here. Sounds like alienware's version is $300 less and works better. I thought thunderbolt3.0 was supposed to be a pro but I'm not so sure now. Maybe this is just because it hasn't been updated for 1080 yet? Are results similar with last gen cards that have been out for a while?

If Razer isn't aware of the Core's poor performance yet, we should definitely let them know so they can work on it.

  8. I think I will stick with the core for now, maybe wait it out a bit and contact them if everything isn't in order on my end as well. Drivers might just be delayed, who knows. Going to take a look at their refund policy first though. Just hoping this all works out in the end :S

  10. All the mystery behind the core since there are so few out there to be tested and spec'd. I would agree though that we may see improvement with the newer cards (1070/80) as they're not listed on the product page.

  11. That's what I'm hoping for. When I emailed them about a week ago someone told me that they hadn't tested the 1080 yet so hopefully with time performance issues will be cut.

  12. If I purchase a Razer Blade Stealth it comes with a 100$ Store Credit

Can I purchase a mouse and still buy the core for $399?

  13. You get the $100 off coupon when you buy the blade so as long as you already own one.

I like the update to the instock site that Nathan made. I might be going crazy but I saw it go from 70 to 0 instantly and when I refreshed it's back at 70. Kind of freaked out :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Wait, so if I buy a Stealth and a Core together, will I get the $100 off? Or do I get the code after I buy the Stealth?

  15. I bought the stealth before the Core was available and I got the coupon. I'm assuming you still get the coupon if you only by the stealth, but you may want to double check since the core has been available for purchase earlier this month.

I mean: Will I be able to apply the $100 immediately if I buy the Stealth and the Core together, in the same order?

  17. I really don't know but if I had to make a guess, yes. They are advertising it and it is probably an automatic discount when they are you your cart. If not, you can always contact razer and ask for the code to be applied after or for a refund of $100, I'm sure they would help you out.

  18. Lol same thing happened to me. I've been pressure washing stuff around the house and checking my computer inside intermittently, and went to refresh the stock count page, and when zero came up my heart stopped, but a quick refresh brought back a pulse.

No you won't get the code till your stealth is fully purchased
