Strange experience with undervolting Razer Blade 15(2018)

So I've had this laptop for awhile now and am quite happy with it.

That being said, I've noticed thermal throttling does start to kick in ~30min into a gaming session.

So I looked into undervolting as a method of preserving cpu life and sustaining performance.

Which brings me to this oddity. On laptop power with a tweaked "power saver" plan in windows 10 with integrated graphics running and battery saver enabled on balanced in synapse I was able to get roughly 6hrs of battery life out of my razer before undervolting.

After undervolting by -0.160mV with the same settings enabled im now only getting 2hrs? I dont get it, aren't I restricting power? Shouldn't this therfore improve my battery life?

Used intel xtu.

Have you tried using a monitoring software to verify that the applied voltage is correct? That does seem odd.

I think so I used HWinfo64 I couldn't find ar voltage offset in there. I did find IA core voltage offset though which I assume is the same thing, it did also read -0.160mV.
