Hey guys, I'm new to Razer products and these forums, so if I do anything wrong lemme know.

I'm thinking about getting the new Razer Blade 14" 2016, and I know Razer does student discounts on certain products like the 5% off for the Blade Stealth, but I haven't heard anything about such a discount for the 14" Blade.

Anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

The official Razer Store only offer discounts for a few specified products. Full list here.
However, you can get a 10% student discount if you buy from the Microsoft Store.

Thanks Denny, do you know if there are any disadvantages from buying it from Microsoft as opposed to Razer? I know if you buy it from Razer they pre install some helpful programs.

The only disadvantage is having to watch the microsoft store constantly untill they get in stock. Ive been doing it for 8 days now, havnt gotten one. Last time one popped up was 3 days ago.

There's isn't really any disadvantages. You get the Signature Edition of the laptop which is identical to the laptop you get directly from Razer. They both comes with Razer Synapse and that's it. You can get a free copy of FL Studio 12 via Razer Synapse after registering your device. Microsoft also gives a 1 year limited warranty. You can buy Microsoft Complete to get an additional 2 years full warranty.

How does one pop up by itself? Wouldn't razer send them large periodic shipments?

I just ordered the 512GB version through the microsoft store. It gave me the 10% education discount and I could use that amount for the 2 yr extended warranty.
