A girlfriend might be a no, unless she is a gamer. The classic girl would just get annoyed that you game so much, and it would just be a headache.

We are in agreement there. An accommodating boss that understands why you have to game all night and sleep at your desk??

A really, REALLY good chair... or couch... some place you can sit for 10+ hours and get up and not feel like you have been run over by a truck or two...

    An excellent desk
    The perfect chair
    Fantastic surround sound

and someone willing to cook for you while you raid (or whatever intense gaming you're into). :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: :D

I got the best of both worlds for the cooking. I love gaming plus I'm in culinary school ... Win win.

LOL - for the time being, I have my oldest daughter to fit the bill. She graduated with all of her culinary certifications and a bachelors in culinary management. Needless to say, she does a lot of the cooking around here. But the best part, when she does agree to cook for those of us who game, is that we don't have to leave our desks for anything until dinner is actually on the table. (we insist on eating as a family every night, regardless of what people are doing in their games)

Hardcore gamer doesn't need anything. He/She will always game, regardless of the time, place and hardware (might I add software too? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:) It doesn't matter if you play on low budget laptop or if you play on high-end battle-station; it doesn't matter if you game at home on your kitchen chair or if you game on a plane high up in the sky. If you are a true hardcore gamer nothing will stop you from doing what you love.

We've tried that for many years with my daughter. So while she's a gaming supporter and can talk about quite a few of them, she won't really play any "real" games. She'll play Trivia Pursuit with me, or Jeopardy. She also plays Mario Party with me. However, if we get someone to play a game in the living room she'll gladly sit and watch the entire storyline and enjoy the game. She just won't pick up controllers and play.

I think, sometimes, that's the most some folks can hope for. However, many also have that one game that if you can find the way in ... then it's all gaming from there. lol

Also a keyboard, mouse, Laptop/PC, Monitor (if PC), second monitor, desk and chair (optional), food, water, walls (preferable). Did I miss anything?

Other than the basics for running the games and having good keyboard, mouse, and internet I need comfort. I use sweat bands on my wrist to cushion my wrist. I also have a travel pillow I use on my left side. Try to drink lots of water, sometimes even filling up a empty gallon jug. I will have a blanket to wrap in or wear my jacket as this apartment is not well insulated. I also sometimes have to wear shoes since my rabbit will let me know when he wants attention as he like to nip feet or recently been just tugging at my pant legs.

Home is where the wifi is.

And Doritos, even though I don't like either.

Sometimes watching is just as good as playing. It all depends on what you like.
