I've seen that desk around for a while ... now that's something I could get into!! I love the style and the real estate to work with. I could use that one. And look, no stupid keyboard drawer! lol

I love the Lycosa too. When my Lycosa broke down last year and I want to get another new one. I was so surprised that the local retailer told me Lycosa already be EoL product.

I guess Razer wanted to use Deathstalker to take over that product line?

Mine is still going strong after 5 years :D I think Lycosa is one of the best product ever made by Razer.

Hardcore gamers need durability, comfort, and lights in their peripherals. Lots of lights.

As a parent and a gamer that's really great to hear about you insisting on family mealtime nightly for that cohesiveness and to keep the cohesiveness that most families don't have anymore!!!!

the most important is a room dedicated to just gaming where you can go and not bother or be bothered when gaming. i just build a room in my basement and i couldnt be happier and im sure my wife is glad to have all my pc gear out the bedroom

i qualify for 14....i need a girlfriend, lol
as what i think a hardcore gamer needs is at least 2 screens.
i use a small screen to game on and a secondary screen (Sony Bravia 42'' LED 3D TV)
to display game information, recording software, Skype, Synapse and i use it to watch anime, series, movies and YouTube directly from my pc.
2 or more is a absolute MUST if you ask me :)

I would say air conditioning if you live somewhere hot and in a closed room. Or heating if you live somewhere cold. Games would also be nice haha

Gotta invest in a good gaming chair man. Really have to take care of that spine of ours, don't want it to cause any problems in the subsequent years.

What about the young razer keypads such as the nostromo!?

Honestly, I just need more money to upgrade my PC and buy stuff.

Possibly even scratch the monitor, and grab the new OSVR and run with it, NO?

Along with everything else already state, I think hardcore gamers need some Gunnars or like computer glasses. If you're staring at the screen all day it helps cut the glare and doesn't tire out your eyes as much.

Good idea, but I get headaches whenever I wear glasses tho. Probably because im not used to it

They have ones that fit under headsets better but yeah it can take some getting used to. Counter productive though if they give you a headache though instead of helping prevent it.

Or if you mean like looking through them, I find that the clear computer glasses work better for me than the yellow in preventing that. I like to multitask with papers and other stuff so the color change messes with my head.

Hmm...a hardcore gamer. In MY mind they would need,

--Top or close to top of the line headset (fo dem footsteps doe!) (personal preference: wireless)
--DEFINATELY if there are to be any beverages it should be a bottle to minimize spilling (for various reasons that a hardcore gamer would understand)

--A flexible work or school schedule to be able to play the latest and greatest (or assumed to be greatest) game that is coming out.
-- SPACE! Enough sitting space (or standing) to sprawl or do a quick stretch between load times. Or desk space to put as many things as you would or may need to use during your long gaming sessions. The more things able to be within reach the better!
-- Gaming peripherals: Razer anyone? *cough cough* (controller, keyboard, keypad, mouse etc.) that are the best feeling FOR YOU! There are a lot of products out there, but the best ones are the ones that work best for what/how you play!

--Comfortable clothes: This may seem like a weird thing to list here...but if you're going to be playing a long session, you don't want to feel constricted in whatever body positions you end up while playing.

--Ethernet direct connection: No wi-fi here! Need that quick data transmission! It could mean the difference between who wins the sniper battle or who gets the round ending kill streak perk! (german shepherds anyone?)
--Dare I say it...a window. I know! I know! The truth is though humans DO need sunlight too time to time. Just hopefully that window isn't behind you causing a glare on that swanky smooth monitor of yours...because then it's just not worth the vitamin D ;-P
